You guys have had quite a schedule.. You just played your first unranked team this weekend, didn't you? Wowz.
But yeah, we better win, or else our shot at the ACC championship is GONE. -

Back from Vegas and had loads of fun...did not bet on the buckeyes though...no one bets for them or against them unless they want to lose money
My husband won $1000 on video poker...royal flush...which was completely insane because we were in our hotel room watching the buckeye game and the cable kept going out so we finally gave up and went down to the bar and played video poker so we could of course get the free drinks and the next thing I know is the whole bar was going crazy cuz my husband hit $1000...so good thing the cable went out, eh?
So, is NC State going to win this weekend? That's one game I'm a little unsure of the pick...gir, Dark horse? -

^ Destiny I'd say! And I'd pick against NC State this weekend--the things Coach O'Brien has said this week after losing to Duke have been less than inspiring. -

Haven't heard what T.O.B. said, but with out depending on the spread (if you are playing the spread game) would determine how to bet. If you're just going for win/lose, unfortunately I would go with lose for NC STate. However, I will be hoping for a win, as a W up in Chesnut Hill is exactly what the Pack needs right now. But that's pretty optimistic. IF only our defense would wake up, and stop using that dime/quarter package (or w/e the hell scheme they've been using where the corners and backs are 10-20 yds behind the line), we could rock the Atlantic division. -

take OSU out of title contention their year is over with a loss to Purdue today.
who else will fall today -

Told you to pick BC. NC State is spineless, I'm done with this team, I'm done with Tom O'Brien, I'm done with Mike Archer, I'm done with Dana Bible, and I'm done with Lee Fowler. None of them seem to care that they are driving NC State athletics and the reputation of this university straight into the ground. It doesn't help that there have been some very shady things going on around here on the non-athletic side in this past semester alone. I've supported NC State my whole life, but things have been seriously unraveling lately. I wish someway we could just clear house in one successive swoop and get the whole university back on track...I can only hope we get a new chancellor that understands this.
Okay, maybe I'm over-exaggerating a little bit, but all I want to see is a little progress. -

Mainly Archer needs to go. Also, somebody on D (aka Willie Young) needs to step up as a leader and get the secondary to actually PLAY. THe loss of Nate Irving is killing the defense right now. And the offense is getting worn out and defenses are able to pick apart the offense because they are out on the field so much. So mainly, Archer is done, and defense needs a leader. -

LET'S GO JACKETS!!!!

Oh, if I had a daughter, sir, I'd dress her in white and gold,
And put her on the campus To cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I'll tell you what he'd do--
He'd yell: 'TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!' Like his daddy used to do.
Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum, and Sugar three thousand pounds

If anyone should give up on a team...it should be me...GIR. We did not play offense today - we did not play defense today...we didn't show up at all...PURDUE for chrissakes!!!!
anyhoo...pressure is off now, maybe we can win out and get a half way decent bowl game. We were overrated
I did well today though...on my picks...stayed away from the buckeyes thank god, like I always do. However, I did pick VT over GT and I was thinkin about pickin GT too...but didn't...
As long as Alabama prevails, my picks will be good.
Cincinnati is still kickin butt though...so at least I can still say I'm rooting for a winner. -

'Bama jumps the Gators after their poor performance against Arkansas, I can agree with that. Jackets went up to 11, and Ohio State is 18 now. Can't wait to see what next week will have in store for football!

WOW! How the HELL did Oregan get #10?!?! They're in the PAC-10 for god's sake! The PAC-10 is horrible!!!
Anyways, thank you Clemson SO MUCH for winning last night, great game too.
Alabama almost lost, as well.. 2 blocked kicks in a row saved them big time.
LSU cremed Auburn, lol... -

They will deserve that spot next week when they beat USC
Boise State and TCU need to get the heck out of the top ten but GEE...since they don't play ANYONE, they probably won't...those two are going to be some real bowl thrillers
I think we will take Iowa out of the top ten since we lost to a lowly team already this year...its a given we will win out now...now that it won't matter anymore...such is the life of an OSU buckeye fan...*sigh*.
So...I was supposed to go to the Cincinnati vs Louisville homecoming game with my youngest son but unfortunately I completely tore my ACL and am currently in a brace...so, my husband went without me..and I stayed at home and watched it on TV...Cincinnati is impressive I must say.
Clemson over Miami...only loss I had this week on my picks...I did pretty well, but then that game really was the only surprise.Edited by Buckeye Becky, 25 October 2009 - 03:32 PM.

Ouch, sorry about your ACL...
At least we'll get moved up to the top 10 if Oregon or USC loses, which one of them will.
