^You at the game yesterday? That was fun til about the 3rd quarter, then it was just like "It's Murray State." At least we put up more points than Tebow did last week :-P
  • Luketh%s's Photo
Lol, that was a great game last night. That 4th quarter drive by the Trojans was just.. wow.. the kid's 19!!!

Your quarterback is good but McKnight was your star. USC was extremely lucky to win this game...which begs the question...which team is really overrated?

I have to disagree with you on this one. A lucky win is when a team out performs the other but has a few fluke plays that allow a team to sneak by.

In this case, USC outplayed Ohio State in almost every facet of the game, thousands of miles from their home, in a hostile environment. There was nothing "lucky" about it.

Shame about the loss to USC for Bucks and Michigan State falling to Central... The Big 10 is still reeling as a whole. The rest of the conference mostly scraped through games they should've made off with easily. Penn State seems like the exception. While the Buckeye's loss is saddening for the conference Ohio made a rather nice showing in their last two big out-of-conference games (the Texas game last year was also a good showing until the Longhorns went and smashed your hopes at the end), preventing flashbacks to last years dismal showing against USC.

Lucky for me Michigan is back to being an exception to the Big 10 rule; so far blowing out teams we're supposed to and winning as the underdog. After this week's win I'm pretty confident saying we're going to have a perfect September; which admittedly, is as much to do with our cupcake schedule as with our our team, but still, not something we've seen in a while. Bowl hopes are running high again, which makes for lots of warm fuzzies after last year. :)

You are right...lucky was a bad choice of words. However, those stats look very similar to me and the majority of the USC stats were in the last quarter when the Buckeyes could not stop the run. The point is...we couldn't put USC away when we had you on the ropes (i.e., we needed to score again!) and you are right...USC outplayed us in the 4th quarter to take the win home...right in our house.

It's a hard pill to swallow.

I would still think you might be just a little worried about USC overall performance in the game because young sensational QB or not, the team (IMO) have a few weaknesses that will be exploited by future teams and those teams may not choke like we did.

Ride 6 - It is good to see Michigan back in the hunt again...

Yeah, I was there--pretty good atmosphere considering who we were playing, and I loved all the military stuff. Beautiful night as well.

Yeah, def. I've seen the flag thing done before, but the guy parachuting before the kickoff was pretty awesome. I found it amusing that it was cloudy except for over the field. And UNC is WAY overrated. Can't wait to dominate them here on Thanksgiving Weekend.

Boy I sure hope USC has a lot of weaknesses. I hate $C. I don't even think they will win the conference this year behind Cal. Unfortunately, when they play out of conference I have put my Pac 10 hat on. I owe the Buckeyes a steak or something for beating up Barkley and Mays though (even if it was his own guy falling on him).

Hopefully they come to Seattle still on their high from last weekend so the Huskies can try to pull off the improbable.

It'd be pretty cool to see the Huskies upset the Trojans.. although I HIGHLY doubt it...

The only time USC loses in PAC10 is at home against a Stanford or away against one of the Oregon schools.

And Becky, a 'honk' is just a fan that's loyal to their team almost to a fault. Like, I'm a USC honk. It's not a bad thing. :)

hmmm jacory harris for heisman anyone?

lets see, first game he was 21 of 34 for 386 yards and a couple touchdowns.

second game- 20 of 25 for 270 yards and 3 touchdowns.

if he keeps posting up stats like this, he could have a good shot at being a heisman contender:]

though, i'm still pulling for tebow somewhat, just because i like him as a player and person a bit better lol.

but yeah, anyone catch that game tonight?
    pure amazingness:]]]]

watched the first half or so and got bored. i used to think paul johnson was the truth and wish he had come to state--and i'm not giving up on him yet--but GT definitely won't have as good of a year as they thought they would. miami or VT will take the coastal division easily, and the atlantic division is up in the air and will probably come down to the wire. overall, how can you not like the ACC? there's just so much to talk about. :)
  • Dark_Horse%s's Photo
^Seriously gir? The atlantic division will come down to the wire? As biased as it sounds, I think we have the best chance and the most talent to win our division. BC is decent, Clemson is okay. UMD and Duke aren't gonna do anything. Florida State and us will be the only real competition. Unless you were referring to us vs. FSU coming down to the wire, which is legit.

I'm kinda with Luketh and Kong here...it would be great if you all take care of them...but I'm guessing not

And Becky, a 'honk' is just a fan that's loyal to their team almost to a fault. Like, I'm a USC honk. It's not a bad thing. :)

Okie dokie...I had never heard that before

hmmm jacory harris for heisman anyone?

    But...but....It's the ACC........ :bunny:

Anyhoo...One of our experienced offensive linemen is out for the Toledo game and its an away game and...and...Toledo beat the crap out of Colorado..and I know its just Colorado  but honestly...with Tressel's ridiculous choices calling plays...I'm a tad worried...my god, I'll be picketing at the athletic offices if we lose this one...

So, the Tennessee/Florida game should be a good one, eh? Some to watch this week too: Cincinnati/Oregon State, Texas Tech/Texas, Nebraska/VT, and Michigan St/Notre Dame...I'm really hoping that last weeks Mich State debacle was just that and Notre Dame is exposed for the weak team they still are...

    Happy football weekend!

I think we're better than we played against USC but our expectations were a bit lofty coming into the season, and we stand just as much of a chance as the rest of the division excluding Maryland and Duke. Regardless, the Pittsburgh game will be very telling.

    OOOhhh shit..

We got our asses kicked. Jacory Harris is SO fuckin' amazing though, that kid can throw, and our secondary doesn't know what the meaning of the word "cover" is...

Yeah, I agree with whoever said it.. we're not gonna have as good a year as I, and all other Tech fans, thought we would.

    Shit.
