Cheers Comet! I got lucky at least in this league this week. I was all-in on the Murray thing, bust half my waiver wire budget in another league on him. I just think Felix Jones and Tashard Choice are both terrible, terrible players and his matchups over the next two weeks are/were delicious. I can't claim true responsibility for playing Mike Williams over Fitzgerald, a normal week I might not have done that. Williams had the much better matchup so was split on it, the decider was that I went to Wembley to see the game and was playing Williams in another league so made it more interesting to watch.

See you week 9 Kumba! No way you beat me with your bye week players! I'm shooting to emulate the '72 Dolphins!

If anyone has a stud QB and would like to trade them down for RB/WR depth, let me know. I would consider Stafford + a RB/WR for any of these guys: Vick, Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Newton. Throw me offers! Kumba, if you trade me Newton, I get more screwed on the week 9 byes than you!

Halfway Point Recap

So the British guy is kicking everyone’s @$$ in NFL fantasy football?! Yeah, sad, but true… At 7-0 Deano is way out in front for the league lead and has scored at least 121 points each week. I guess it can’t be a total shocker, he does run the popular fantasy football site goaheadscore.com.

The only player really within reach of Deano is 2009 Champ/League Commish/Iguana lover, Kumba, at 6-1. Only one loss to Panther stains the otherwise spotless record Kumba has posted. Kumba has also scored over 100 every week and will meet Deano in a huge week 9 showdown.

Well, the Brit and the Iguana are on top and in the middle… well, almost everyone else. Chapelz, JKay and tdub are all on the right side of 500 at 4-3. Comet, K0NG, Panther and Phatage all sit at 3-4 with six games to go. JDP and Top Gun are each 2-5 and last year’s monster who busted out of the gate at 10-1, gir, is currently sitting alone in last at 1-6.

There are six playoff spots up for grabs this season and the top two teams with each get a first round bye. Right now it looks like Deano and Kumba could get the byes, but everyone else is bunched up really tight. In fact someone below 500 right now will get a playoff spot, question is who?

So everyone be sure to stay Toon’ed for the second half of the season, where things should get very interesting!

So looks like me and Deano will win again and set-up a 8-0 vs 7-1 showdown!

Also looks like Chapelz, JKay and tdub will all go to 5-3 to stay somewhat in reach of the top spots and well ahead of the rest of the pack.

Panther I am not happy with you. I will not babysit players and send them reminder that their team has players on a bye (well yeah unless I need them to beat someone, I am not above doing it then, lol). This is the second year you have had an issue and second time this year. If it happens again your banned from the league after this season. Everyone else seems to be doing a good job of staying on top of their team.

Since we have to tell the league anyway, I'm posting this here. I'm wondering who else was sent an offer for a QB (or can you even put up players on the trading block to multiple teams)? Anyway Deano as you all know is 8-0 but doesn't have a solid starting QB next week so I figure he's on the prowl for one. Meanwhile Stafford faces a really tough schedule in the latter half of the season while Brady has shown that he can handle the pressure in the winter. I am willing to give up Brady though for a star RB or WR if any of you guys want to then trade Brady to get those players above, any takers/vetoers?

That's my only trade offer out at the moment. The other guys (Benson, Williams) should really be started in a league this size but are sitting on my bench so makes sense to do a deal with someone. There's a gap between Brady and Stafford through the rest of the year for sure but it's not Benson and Williams sized! If anyone objects and has a top tier QB make me an offer, I'm not really concerned about the bye week thing.

So I do have one offer for a 3-way trade, it's not my favorite but I am considering it. If anybody else is interested in the 3 players Deano has on the block then speak soon or forever hold your peace. He's playing Kumba who's in my div so it actually helps me if Deano wins.

well apparently benson is no longer in the deal. honestly (objectively) i don't really understand this trade.

Oh I meant I don't understand why anybody would trade Matt Ryan for Benson, I think you got a huge steal.

Cause I'm desperate for another RB. Yes Faulk is projected highly, but I doubt he will do more than Benson. Last week my RBs scored for a combine 0.7 points, and that was mainly because I did not have Forte due to a bye. I have 2 decent QBs on my bench in Dalton and Flaaco, as well as an okay receiving group. Basically this can go 2 ways; either Benson flops, or he comes back with a vengeance. Seeing as how I'm currently 2-6, I think I'll take my chances.

A world in which I thought that CJ's holdout would be his only issue. A world in which Romo was putting up fantastic numbers...until I traded for him. Where Vernon Davis and Vincent Jackson are having career lows in every motherfucking category. Where Santana Moss becomes the go-to guy in Washington just in time to break his hand. Where I draft Nate Kaeding in a bold move because he's the highest scoring kicker in the league for three seasons running...and he's out for the season on the first play of the year.

I could go on...but, suffice it to say that it just doesn't get better than this.

Deano that's pretty crazy. I am #1 in scoring in my cash league by a lot and #2 overall at 6-2 to, of all people, JKay who is 7-1 there. In the DT (double trouble) league I am just 12 points shy of being #1 in scoring.

BTW...both of my teams are in the "playoff hunt" as well, look at the schedule. I mean, 3-5 is about as relevant as 4-4 at this point in the season. Only game I'm worried about is against myself since I might have to manipulate things to get the Wildmen into the playoffs. Plus, I didn't actually have an "A" team until last week...so one of the Hookers two losses really could have been avoided if I wasn't more concerned with both of my teams doing well than to stack one and leave the other with a 45 point projected total at any time.
