I just thought of something...let's say (since this is where we're at currently) Phatage doesn't reply in time and gets the highest ranked player automatically. But, I have the very next pick after him and I actually wanted to draft that same player. I think that I should be able to claim him....since he actually missed his turn and he would then get the next ranked player. Unless tdub actually wanted that player ( and also replied here before Phatage) in which case tdub would get that player and Phatage would then get the next ranked player, and so on. I don't actually see this scenario playing out too often, but I think we should do this so that someone constantly checking in for their turn doesn't lose a player that they'd actually been targeting to someone that didn't (for whatever reason) show up in time.

Just thought I'd toss this out there before the situation actually came to be reality...because I have a feeling it might occur sooner or later.

I did a lot of mock drafts leading up to these real ones and a lot of times people only did the the first few rounds, left and were put on auto-pick. Thanks to that I had a guy I wanted auto-picked by the guy before me. It's fucking annoying, but a part of FF drafts. Sorry, but it just happens.

If it makes you feel better I have an older pre-ranking from Phatage and his #2 guy after Clark is still unpicked, so id give him that guy. Just want to give him the chance to pick.

Well, yeah...I'd like everybody to get to make their own choices. I'm wondering though...in the draft you mentioned, was it set up like this? Spread out over time and done in a forum topic? Or, an actual draft where you aren't waiting a couple of days for your pick only to have it auto drafted right before it's your turn. I mean...this isn't an ordinary FF draft. And, if he's already given you his pick and he's still available...why not just give it to him and move on? Isn't that why he sent it to you? And maybe he realizes that he's already sent it to you and expects it if his pick is available and isn't real worried about getting here.

Or, are you just hoping he changes his mind and takes the guy that you know I'm going to pick and you'll have a better chance of trading for him with Phatage than you will with me?

FYI for everybody else: I gave Kumba a top 4 list a couple days ago for that last pick (in case at most 3 of my choices were taken by the time it came to me).
