If any of you are interested I am trying a experimental two-team league. It's free to enter and im putting up a $30 prize for whoever wins. The catch is that ESPN is not really set-up for a league where you have two-teams, so there might be some issues, but I think we can work around them.
As for our league I'll post about the draft after the Monday night game. -

The only thing that would hold me back from that is the trading between your own two teams. You could load one team with all the stars of your two teams and just leave the other team alone. -
Kumba Offline
That sounds like a good idea, but putting all your eggs in one basket can really backfire on you. I have seen many a stacked team lose, so you never really can have a lock.
Personally I will be trying to get both my teams into the playoffs.
K0NG what is your e-mail again? Would be nice to have a chance to beat you more than 2-3 times this year -

Unless there was a way to prevent trading between the same team managers...
'Cept the only way to have two teams in one league is to make multiple profiles on the site, right? -
Kumba Offline
No you can do it with one ESPN profile and have two teams in the same league.
So I guess what your saying is your out as long as an owner (team manager) can make trades between their two teams? Sorry, but that will be allowed. Trades between different owners will be reviewed tho. -
K0NG Offline
I think trades between the same owner should be scrutinized more closely than trades between different owners. With a simple majority vote being able to override in-house trades to help prevent stacking.
And, it's K0NG@sbcglobal.net Same as it was last year (and, the year before...). -

The whole point is that you have a pool of players you can divide between two teams.
Invite(s) sent fuckbucket. Let me know if you have any issues joining. -

Well, we should probably see how the consensus on this turns out. I'd hate to have an 8 team league with only four owners. What we've had recently has been pretty successful as-is so...it might not be a great idea to try to fix something that isn't broken. -

We'll likely have 5-6 players, so 10 or 12 teams. Tho this is not related to the NE league at all, just something else I want to do with fantasy football. -
K0NG Offline
Ahhhh, ok. I thought you wanted to implement this into the regular NE league. My bad. I'll just go back to experimenting with weird combinations and try to find a cause for black holes. It's my new cause......this is not related to the NE league at all, just something else I want to do with fantasy football.

I think i'll stick to the regular league, the NE-affiliated one.

when youre ready to send out invites. -

No need, your team from last year is still there. Looks like I will need to send Brent an invite tho... what's your e-mail? If I don't hear from you in the next few days we might let Panther stay as his team is set-up.
Also sign-up is now over. New teams will be Deano, JKay, Phatage and Brent. Going to be a 12-team league again.
The draft will be here in this topic. The draft order will be random and I will post it soon. Each player will have 24 hours to post their round 1 pick, you can also text me your pick. Each round you have an hour less to post, so 23 hours for round 2, 22 hours for round 3 and so on... if you don't post your pick on-time either I will pick for you, or if we find someone to hang onto pre-draft lists your pick can be made off of that.
This way we we avoid having the draft at a time when odds are half of us can't make it. Odds are it will take about a week, but on the up side it's more of an event this way and no %100 auto-drafted teams!
Also RIP to In:Cities and both Maverix/cks as your teams are about to be deleted -

You know the more I think about it doing the whole draft here would take way to long and just get very annoying. Let's just do like rounds 1 & 2 here to insure everyone gets the top picks they want. Then on a set date we can draft the rest of our teams at ESPN, I just need to do the rounds we did here as the LM then can start it up for the rest. -

Dude...the 24 hrs. for each 1st round pick and 23 for the 2nd is ridiculous. That could conceivably take over three weeks to get through. I think we should just do the draft like we always have. The way I look at it is...if your team is important enough to you, you'll find time to make it to the fucking draft. Hell, if it was at 3AM on a Tuesday I'd wake my ass up to ensure I get the picks I want. If it's not important enough to you, you get what the auto-draft gives you.
Let's figure out a date and time that works for as many people as possible and just do the draft the way everyone else in the world does it. -

I agree with a lot of your points, but fact remains that there is over 3 week till the season starts and we have time to play with this idea and make sure people get players they want. Trust me, this will be fun for a while and then if/when it gets old we prepare to finish with the draft live.
I randomly selected a draft order, which you can watch here
The order is:
1. JKay
2. gir
3. Kumba
4. Chapelz
5. tdub
6. K0NG
7. Phatage
8. JDP
9. Comet
10. panther33
11. deano
12. top gun
JKay is on the clock first and has 24 hours to make a pick. Even tho you guys have that much time PLEASE try and pick soon when it's your turn.
Also Brent is out since he has not got back to be in over 3 days, or even been to NE. Panther will be back and should be much more active now since he is not going to be juggling FF with actually playing football this year.
Good luck with your picks everyone! -

We're starting the draft NOW???? Shouldn't we wait til pre-season games are over and make sure that we're picking uninjured players...or players that are still on the rosters? Or have some time to evaluate players instead of having maybe one or two series worth of playing time from one game to base our picks off of? -

If we're on a 24 hour or less clock, makes sense to do it now Kong.
Btw, I'm going to dominate this league, so don't get too upset if you guys have a boring season chasing second place... -

With the first pick JKay selects Arian Foster
Edit: JKay just beat me to posting it for him
Also I updated some parts of the leagues scoring from last year and added a few new things:
0.5 (half a point) Per Rec (PPR)
1 point bonus for a QB that passes for over 300
2 point bonus for a QB that passes for over 400
1 point bonus for a RB/WR that has over 100
2 point bonus for a RB/WR that has over 200
1 point per 25 yards gained on a KR/PR for any player (in addition to the D/ST getting that)
You guys can see it all on the ESPN site. The 1/2 PPR will make the value on a WR, TE and RB that catches a lot of passes go up a little this season.
Also I did not see the choice, but will give 3 points to a QB who passes for over 500 yards or a RB/WR with over 300 yards. If we get another 60-yard FG that's going to be 6 points rather than 5 for the kicker. Just all that is quite rare and we could go the entire season without it coming up, maybe just one or two QBs that go off for 500+
gir is now on the clock!
Draft Recap:
1. Arian Foster (JKay)
