well i'm sorry.
i wasn't taking sides or meaning to screw anything up for anyone. K0NG messaged me and asked nicely. i figured why not, i'd help the dude out.
i've been too busy with things in my own life lately to focus on a fantasy football league. so i apologize for that.
i guess i didn't realize the gravity of the situation, but oh well. -

The bye-week portion of the season is now over as all the NFL's 32 teams will be competing from here on out. This means we get back to divisional games and for teams in the West and North a lot will be on the line. Each team also has one out-of-division game left and they will all be South vs. North and East vs. West.
Week 10 did surprisingly little to effect the league standings. gir and Kumba both won, in fact they both won by the identical final score of 106-104 in the now weekly Monday Night nail-biter. Other than that drama the only changes to the standings are JDP, Top Gun, Maverix and K0NG taking one step up. Still there are no new teams in the playoffs and still no one is out of the race.
With only three games reaming the playoff picture is clearing up. Here is a look at the current standings:
$*#gir 9-1
$*#Kumba 8-2
*#Chapelz 7-3
Maverick 6-4
#tdub 5-5
JDP 5-5
Comet 4-6
K0NG 4-6
Top Gun 3-6-1
Panther 3-7
Maverix 3-7
In:Cites 2-7-1
$ - Clinched Division
* - Clinched a playoff spot
# - Leading Division
x - Out of playoff contention
Maverick is very close to getting the 4th playoff spot and will do so with a week 11 win or a loss by Top Gun. Comet and K0NG are clinging to the 7th and 8th spots right now, but all the teams below them have a shot at leap-frogging them.
Week 11 sees three division leaders (and JDP) facing the bottom four teams. This means the key match-ups will involve the teams in the middle of the pack as Maverick faces Comet and tdub takes on K0NG. Those are also both divisional games which makes them that much more important.
Good luck everyone! -

The way I see it here, since Kumba's taken it upon himself to reverse the trade again...I jumped on something I saw, took a shot and came out a big winner. I figured it would bother everyone but, it is what it is. And, I don't see it as cheating at all...everyone had the same opportunity that I had, I just saw it first. Had I been in discussion with Josh for a while or done this outside this site with a "buddy" (as Comet suggested), I'd also call it "collusion" but, since it was just a simple PM with an offer that I honestly thought he'd reject, I can't call it that. It was more like a winning lottery ticket. Besides, it can't be 'cheating' if no rules were broken.
I've come up with somewhat of a reasonable solution here. Since Josh apparently doesn't care about his team any longer and I'm seriously losing out on this whole deal, allow everyone to have one trade with him. Since my blockbuster deal is being tossed, I think I should get first shot. Then you guys can sort it out however you'd like. Maybe by inversed order of seeding.
@Comet...just shut the fuck up. You don't like me and I don't like you. You've tossed snide little comments my way for ages now and, I've simply ignored them because you're irrelevant to me. But now, you're starting to piss me off. That makes you relevant for the wrong reasons, it puts you on my radar.
@Deano...I agree that it's not "fair", but again...it's nothing that anyone else couldn't have done. Besides, life isn't fair. It's not fair that Kumba, being somewhat of an icon here at NE, continuously uses his status to his advantage when working out his trades. And he does. If anyone else proposed the majority of the trades he's 'worked out' they'd be denied. That's why he never deals with me...I don't let him dollar-for-dime me because he's the almighty Kumba. I know how he works, he's TRIED to finagle me time after time. And Darren, there's no animosity from my end towards you because of it. That's why I never publicly complain...it is what it is and I deal with it that way. Just as people should have done with this.
Anyway, consider my solution. I DID make roster moves to accommodate this trade that can't be undone now.
And Josh, I'm truly sorry that people are coming down on you bro. I honestly didn't think everyone would
go overboard like this or I would have never even suggested the trade. I mean, you and I were 'lol'ing about it as it was in progress. It was kinda fun until a couple people got sand in their vaginas. -

KONG... I hear what you're saying and you've surprised me a little because I was expecting an asshole post which that wasn't, especially considering this has nothing to do with me!
In my league we have a guy ghost shipping it and it's seriously pissing me off. He has LT, Ray Rice, Mendenhall and Frank Gore. Since he's not playing or trading, this other guy with Charles, Foster and CJ can effectively just hold everyone else to ransom because there's no running backs available and people are starting absolute shit there.
But that's just the way it is... I think I still go back to inCities not trying to improve his team so no trades should happen imo.
And fair play for telling Kumba to piss off on his trade offers everyone else should be just as bold! I haven't accepted an offer all year in my league... people just have to deal with that. -

K0NG one thing you got to think about is that FF trys to be like the NFL. The Bills are in last place right now at 1-8, does that mean they should send the Dolphins Fitzpatrick, Jackson and Spiller? No and if they tried the NFL would come down on them.
I hate the idea of teams giving up or just getting pissed off and quitting. You don't see that in the sport FF emulates.
If you want I can give you back the players you dropped to make space for the trade. -

well said deano, those are pretty much my sentiments. the trade may not have been against the rules, but there is something called the 'spirit of the game' that must be upheld. -

No, you DO see NFL teams giving up and trading away star players for prospects, future picks and/or cash. Maybe not three at once but, it happens all the time. And, you DO see NFL teams giving up and quitting. That's why coaches get fired.K0NG one thing you got to think about is that FF trys to be like the NFL. Thing is, I've been trying all season to get a solid back (and no, Beanie Wells isn't him) but Kumba pretty much has them all so it's been difficult. I finally pulled off a trade (even if it wasn't the "blockbuster" deal) that did that. My main focus was Bradshaw but, I figured why not see if I could get a couple of other players while I was at it. Had I just made a deal for Bradshaw, no matter how lopsided it was, I doubt all the commotion would have ensued. Heading into the playoff run with what I have isn't exactly motivating me...after that 39 pt Patriot defensive outburst that robbed me of one game earlier...so, making a deal was imperative to me to really even care about the rest of the season looking at a couple of teams consistently having 130-140 point projections while I struggle every week for 100. Now, the deal I finally make gets yanked away from me and I'm supposed to be content with having the players I dropped returned to me? I don't think so. Do whatever you want to do. If I have no chance, there's no reason to even put time into trying to field a lineup that's going into every game as a 20- 30 point dog and hoping to get lucky. -

Okay guys it's fucking over. K0NG, that deal was almost too good to be true and it was. I'm sure you weren't expecting the trade to even go down, so just pretend this shit didn't even happen.
People love to go on about the dumbest shit on this website so I'm gonna lower myself to shit talkin. I wish the trade did go down cuz there aint no stoppin team JDP!!!

The biggest issue here to me is that the trade didn't initially 'go down' as it's been presented. A lot of bullshit happened between the time Josh and I agreed on something and everything was posted here. I'm not going into details but, I promise everyone that I didn't even attempt to trade the 3 players from my team that ended up in the trade for the 3 players I ended up getting. I presented a resolution to the whole thing to our LM and hopefully this whole ordeal can be put to rest. -
Kumba Offline
I won't reinstate that trade and let you "re-distribute" those players, but if Josh is opening to trading those guys in a more even way that would be okay. For example maybe a 4-team trade like:
K0NG gets Bradshaw
Maverix gets TO
Top Gun gets Nicks
In:Cites gets Jacobs, Crabtree, Ochocinco
Or something like that. Still Josh is alive in the playoff hunt and even finished in second place last year, so I hope he knows that he's still able to pull it out and that it's likely in his benefit to keep those players. -

Yes, the reason is you made a commitment to some friends, online or not. If you give up - as InCities appears to have done - it makes it less fun for everyone else.
When you draft you make a commitment to play as well as you can for the rest of the year. Especially since this time last year - Jerome Harrison and Jamaal Charles were not considered elite FF players. Well they won championships for people. Keiland Williams, Brandon Jackson, Pierre Thomas, Reggie Bush, Ronnie Brown (look at the dolphins fantasy playoff schedule), Ricky Williams, Jerome Harrison again, Felix Jones, I could go on. Anyone of these guys could win you a championship and you could get them through FA or a cheap trade. So stop whinging that you're going to throw your toys out the cot because you don't have a running back. Man up and play.
I don't see any teams wandering off the field at halftime never to return. Panthers - terrible football team. No quarterbacks. But they do what they have to, start St Pierre and carry on playing.
Incidentally... the ghost ship guy in our league - he won't be invited back next year. That's what happens to people who ruin the fun for everyone else because they don't like their chances anymore. -

BTW: InCiries hasn't even started Owens, so it's not making a difference for him. I would have offered a trade earlier in the season if I didn't feel bad about screwing someone over with a Gaffney-Wayne type trade. -
Kumba Offline
Are you retarded or just unable to understand that I traded Big Ben and Gaffney for Wayne and Henne?
Infact in a league PM you call out my trades, so let me post that here:Here's trades I questioned, but kept to myself following his "no veto" ruling.
Lost: Jason Witten, Pierre Garcon
Got: Frank Gore, Beanie Wells
Lost: Laurence Maroney
Got: Santana Moss
Lost: Thomas Jones
Got: Greg Jennings
Lost: Ryan Torain
Got: Brandon Lloyd
(I was after Lloyd and lost him on waivers, JDP didn't offer me any trade?)
Lost: Jabar Gaffney
Got: Reggie Wayne
Lost: Brandon Marshall
Got: Marques Colston
Look over those and honestly say they are balanced trades.
When you post it that way it looks like im getting steals, but your forgetting the timing.
Yeah I get Gore, Wells and Moss in the pre-season. You do know Garcon was crazy good in the playoffs and superbowl right? panther really wanted him and I made a big offer... oh and he got Witten, the #6 FF TE atm. Oh and I got nothing out of Wells... and Garcon is healthy now.
Moss for Maroney... again your looking at that trade as crazy if it happened NOW. It was per-season when he was still with NE who he scored like 10 TDs for last year.
Also I did not trade Gaffney for Wayne. I traded Big Ben AND Gaffney for Wayne and Hanne. Pretty even looking to me atm.
Jones for Jennings... okay maybe tilted to me, but I played on the fact that he was a top 5 FF RB last year. He's even got 73 points this year, only 15 behind Jennings.
Lloyd for Torain was just a good fit for me and JDP at the time. He's stacked at WR then and willing to part with a meh player who has had some good games in the first half of the season.
Present my trades any way you like, but in the end the facts show how they happened and then it looks no where near as messed up as your inaccurate chart. -
Maverick Offline
I put in the key players of the deal... Big Ben and Henne are irrelevent in that trade, as their points will be similar regardless, so the other two are tilted.
And I'm just going by names that stand out to me, whether its last season or now is not the case, as I see different tier players in those trades. And because of the way you look at trades is probably why some of us (myself and K0NG anyways) don't take your offers seriously. Either you talk up your offer, or you downplay the development of the players you're going after. I deal with this every week when film studios tell me "Cinema X has made more money on this type of movie in the past" disregarding the fact that "Cinema Y" is BRAND NEW and has no developmental history to track. That's how most of your trades appear to me, but I only said something now because of the way you handled the deal between K0NG and In:Cities. I'm not saying go back and erase your trades, because if the people you dealt with were blind-sided by it, that's on them. What was your key issue with the trade between K0NG and In:Cities? Was it Bradshaw or Nicks or TO? How many of those players was In:Cities using on his active roster regularly? The only name in that trade that stands out as "strange" to me is Ajirotutu.

That might be the dumbest thing I have heard here. Also FYI, tdub offered me Wayne since he really wanted his hometown QB Big Ben, I was not even after him. By your logic you should have traded me Rodgers for Young, I mean they play the same position, their points will be the same right?
It was not any one player Josh was sending K0NG, it was all of them combined. That's why I decided to delete the trade, then later delete the veto votes since I determined that was a bad idea. -

Deano, I'm not saying that I'm giving up my season. I've never quit anything in my life and I'm not about to start now. It's just hard to get motivated to field a lineup when you're a 30 point dog every week and finally make a trade that evens things up a little and it's shot down by the LM...who, coincidentally, is also one of the owners that has the highest point projection every week.
My initial deal with Josh was Bradshaw and Nicks for Jacobs and Lance Moore....which isn't all that lopsided, I wasn't trying to rape him. It's not exactly even but it's not as bad as some of the deals I've seen go through this season. Thing is, Josh was in a hurry and sent me the two players without including my players....which everyone saw as a two-for-nothing trade. Before he could accept my two players, Darren overturned the deal and mentioned that next time, make it a 3 for 3 or something. I was pissed because I'd just seen that he'd reversed the trade and said to myself, "ok, here's a fucking 3 for 3 for ya" and swapped Moore with Ajirotutu and added TO and sent Tynes for him. Which made it what everyone saw....possibly the most lopsided trade since the Lakers got Pau Gasol from Memphis. At the time, I had two players in my WW queue that I had to cancel to make the trade, that have both been picked up by other teams now. So, I'm not only NOT getting the players I traded for but I've also lost two players that I had claimed on waivers. That seriously saps my motivation for continuing...not that I won't but, I really don't care about the season any more now. I'd like to think that you (or anyone) could understand where I'm coming from. I've been hitting the WW every week all season, trying to make deals to get my roster to be at least competitive, finally catch a break and it's all yanked from under me. Add to that the fact that Darren had said that if 7 teams vetoed the trade, it would be rescinded and then rescinded it on his own again when it became apparent that that wasn't going to happen. So, all in all...I had my first real positive trade overturned, lost two players that I'd grabbed off of waivers and I'm supposed to be fired up for the playoff run here with the same team I've been busting my ass all season to try to improve? Put yourself in my place and tell me how motivated you'd be.
Everyone keeps saying that this is all supposed to be fun...how much fun do you think I've had in the last three days? I have people calling me out for ruining the league (without knowing the facts) and sarcastically calling me a "class act" and I not only didn't benefit from my 'work' but, took a step backwards and now have people telling me to "man up and play". C'mon. -

K0NG....
He was too quick to jump on the mistake without letting it clean itself up. Instead of reversing it immediately he could have asked for clarity. That was the leading cause for this mess.If Kumba's not winning, no one can have fun.
