Just about every match-up seems to be decided...
Projected winners:
gir
K0NG
Maverix
Kumba
Comet
To close to call:
JDP vs Chapelz
Chapelz will need a really big game from Eil and SS, with a bad game from Roy Williams. tdub is pretty much done unless Romo scores 52 points, but that's very unlikely.
So with Mav's streak snapped it will leave me and gir atop at 6-1 each. We both win next week and it sets up a HUGE week 9 match-up of 7-1 teams -

Damn tdub... Nomo
Not a good week for you after Britt went insane, but we can always talk trade
Also Chapelz is on the verge of pulling this one out, so a little excitement tonight!
Edit: also seems I incorrectly said Maverix can't lose, in fact looks like he will lose to In:Cities, my bad -

Yes, darren, we need to talk trades. 6-8 weeks without my QB might kill my chances here for a successful season. -

We are at the halfway point of the season and a couple of teams are way out in front. True gir and Kumba's 6-1 records are only 1-game ahead of Maverick and Chapelz, but take a look at the division standings. Both are 4 games ahead of the second place team. Keep in mind that that division winners get a top 4 seed and a home game in the opening round of the playoffs. Week 7 saw a big upset as K0NG knocked off Maverick who was on a five-game roll. Also Chapelz came up with a big rally to knock-off JDP in a monday night nail-biter! Week 8 gives us a couple of interesting match-ups like tdub vs Chapelz and JDP vs Maverick. The rest of the matches all look a little one-sided or feature teams near the bottom of their divisions. Still every game is huge at this point since everyone is still very much alive.
Good luck everyone! -

Kumba trades are now into double digits
tdub gets: Ben Roethlisberger & Jabar Gaffney
Kumba gets: Reggie Wayne & Chad Henne
With Romo out Pittsburgh native tdub needed a new QB and who better than the Steelers starter. In return I get my hometown QB, but since they are not exactly even skill wise I get a WR upgrade in Reggie Wayne for Gaffney -

Well that sucks... I was hoping to get in on that trade somehow...
[Explaining myself - I was after Lloyd on waivers, and I offered a trade for Wayne... ] -

Updated standings. You might notice I'm ranked #4 on here vs #5 on ESPN, because my chart is inclusive to the league, whereas ESPN goes by division first. -

I snagged Jonathan Stewart at just the right time. Thomas is out(again) and Hillis has a bye. With Williams out he should do fairly well. -
K0NG Offline
^Yeah, he didn't produce shit for me, so I dropped him just in time for him to be Carolina's featured back. Oh well, at least Bush should be back next week. -
gir Offline
Well shit, that relegates me to using Fred Jackson for the first time this year. McCoy and Boldin on byes this week puts me in a pretty precarious position...this could easily be my second loss. -

Dammit, I looked at the matchups and saw Brees against the Steelers and then saw Garrard against Dallas' porous secondary and decided to start Garrard today. Then, I went out partying last night, woke up too late to change my lineup and now I just have to hope Brees has a good bounce-back game today. Also...I've never seen a team (at least in our league) that had no players in the 1 o clock games like I have today. I checked the scoreboard and saw me behind 39-1 and went WTF?!?!? until I realized that I had zero players in action.
And, WTF is with In:Cities starting 5 bye players? Is he out of town or something? -

I don't think he's updated his roster once this year. Kind of sucks for those of us that need some of his opponents to lose sometimes.
And I don't know how Kumba convinces people to trade him great players for mediocre ones. I think someone is dealing under the table... -

Three in a row now. Unless, of course, Andre Johnson somehow, miraculously pulls 55 points out of his ass for Comet tomorrow night (after that NE D/ST fiasco a couple weeks back...nothing surprises me though) I'm getting right back into the thick of things. I'm nailing my waiver-wire pickups and working the matchups (save the Brees/Garrard thing today) just like I did last year. Heads up homies...I'm making my playoff run....where regular season records mean absolutely nothing. -

Looks like we know who will win every match-up...
Kumba
K0NG
gir
Chapelz
Maverick
Panther looks like he'll win vs Top Gun, but you never know with Manning. -

Just waiting to see if Blair White gets some playing time tonight with the Colts passing attack hobbling a bit. -

'Bout to lose to a guy with 2 bye players. That just shows you how bad my team was this week. f.m.l.
