Only problem is I have a huge issue with week 10 bye weeks, need to get some trades going to avert a potential crisis there.

And I never thought I'd say this... but I love this sport, first full season of watching it, and the stat crazed maniac in me can't get enough!

Hope you guys enjoy your league too, I'm definitely in for next year or give me a shout if a team starts ghost shipping for a few weeks.

Not exactly sure what will happen next year. Assuming everyone wants to play again and new guys like Deano and even JKay (yeah he wants to join in next year!) wanting in, we might need to go up too like 14 or 16 teams. That or have two leagues like in baseball with the AL and NL. At least we have a while to figure it out.

I'm not sure how the waiver order works but, I am 6 of 12 on the waiver order while you are 12 of 12. I wish it would have told me that it wouldn't go through rather than saying; "Your request will go through at 3:00AM on Wednesday." No big deal though because I did manage to pick up Nate Washington, Jacoby Jones, and Peyton Hillis.

Kumba - fully aware that that makes me less British and bloody glad of it too! I love our football version too, but I'm so disallusioned with all the crap that goes on around the sport like this Wayne Rooney rubbish. Also it is played in a particularly boring way at the moment (thanks Spain).

Maverick - yeah I was pretty happy with my first draft! Had a pick of wide receivers minus Andre J and Randy Moss at the point I took Calvin, I really fancy him for this year. In a two QB league it's so important I think to ignore common draft sheets and rate the higher QBs better. I picked up Brees at #10 out of #10, picking last in the first round. Ridiculous! The guy before (and therefore straight after me) picked Mendenhall and Greene. Bet he's regretting the Shonn Greene pick right now! Really hit the sleepers at WR as well, Berrian hasn't paid off but so far Breaston, McCluster and Floyd on the Chargers without V-Jax is looking good. Only problem is, week 10, I'm screwed... no Charger, Saints or Green Bay players. This is a problem!

Week 1 is in the books and we saw wins by tdub, Top Gun, gir, Kumba, Comet and Chapelz. Week two's top matches will be the battles of the 1-0s featuring Kumba and Top Gun and Chapelz and Comet. To make it even more interesting both of those matches are division games.

Also as of right now the high score in a game is 128 points by tdub. The low bar is set at 47. Will keep an eye on this as the season goes on as both spots will merit trophies. One you want and one you don't!

It's been a while since I used a 9-man roster. Might take me a couple weeks to adjust to the smaller format.

We get (over Sky and ESPN) two games a Sunday, and any Thursday/Monday night stuff. I read a shit load as well! I love the NFL's site with all the highlight videos, not only for the highlights but for the American adverts (nearly always food related!). Had a trip out to the states in May, did NYC, Chicago and Boston - absolutely loved it. So I guess NFL is my way of keeping the connection going.

Only problem right now, is they tend to televise as many 49ers games as they can before the Wembley fixture. I guess they correctly guess no-one here would ever give a shit about the Broncos, I don't know! We don't have the Manning bowl this week either... think they're just showing us the Dallas Chicago game, and the Jets Patriots match up. Latter should be good - think the Jets are in for a good thrashing!

On another note... Kumba, I think someone has uploaded some virus shit onto your server and google has marked it as a spyware haven! I browse using chrome and whenever I go onto an NE page which has an image hosted at parkmakers.com it tells me I'm accessing stuff from a dodgy site! You might want to take that up with google?! Or delete the spyware and put a restriction on what files can be uploaded, to just jpg gif and zip maybe?
