Yeah I saw it, loved seeing Clark score twice and at the same time knew you were loving MJD's stats.
So I have played in my small cash league, made the finals and won the championship. I am in a third league where I won my simi-finals match-up yesterday and here in this league with you guys I am also in the finals. Funny thing is in that other championship my opponent also has MJD, Andre Johnson, Maroney and Thomas Jones. Any of those guys have a huge day and I could be toast... Oh and just to brag I will point out that I was in two leagues last year and also made the finals in both, won it in one of them. Only time I did not make the finals was my first time when I lost my simi finals match by 1 point.
Also Josh want to try and meet up to catch the Monday night game? We'll know who wins then. WPB county is not that close, but maybe we can find a sports bar in Broward or something. -

Ah yeah should have figured you'd be home for Christmas and I was talking about next Monday, not tonight. Marlins game sounds good, I hope Andrew is still playing for them the season after next in the new stadium, it's only like 2 miles from my house -

aha yeahh dude, i'm sure he will be.
i was actually up in jacksonville this weekend for his wedding lol.
he finally got married to his longtime girlfriend of 7 years.
it was so sick dude.
there was like 400 people up at the wedding, and many of them were baseball players.
a lot of his old teammates from UNC were there, as well as a couple marlins.
and the food was AMAZING :] -

So this is what it all comes down to. Yes the very same two teams who started off the season red hot with a combined record of 9-1 have made it to the championship. Following the great start each team seemed to come back down to earth as they went 5-5, but each is coming off a season high playoff win. Infact In:Citie's 136 was the third highest score of the season and snapped Comet's eight game win streak. Kumba was not far behind with 134. Well time to get down to it, here is your Championship preview:
#2 Kumba vs #4 In:Cities "The Battle of Florida III"
The Iguanaz managed to win the season series with a two-game sweep which put them in the #2 position they are in today and they will have a 1-point edge for homefield. However the Pelicans are not to be taken lightly as they have won four of their last five games and scored an average of nearly 130 points a game in their two playoff matches. When you take a look at the rosters and the week 16 matches neither tame seems to have a big edge. Should be a very close and hard fought match-up with the league championship up for grabs!
To the other six teams I really want to thank you for playing so hard. You almost never see every team alive and fighting for a playoff spot during the last week of the season, but that was proof you guys all played your guts out. I really hope you all play again next season. -

Ouch, Gonzalez gets hurt after only 17 yds, Maroney has a fumble and gets pulled early and Scobee only had 1 PAT. Andre did good, but otherwise it was all single digits. The late game wont help much as the Colts D will lose points if Jones gets points. Good job all season Josh, you played a great game, but it does not look good for you here. -

i'm still going to win.
jesus will step in and delete all of your points based on some random technicality -

thats where jesus comes in.
he texted me earlier and was like, 'dude, ima hook you up with the win tonight. it'll be magical bro' -

Fightin Iguanaz Win It All
Kumba's Fightin Iguanaz destroyed In:Citie's Pelicans 119-58 in one of the biggest beat downs of the season. The Iguanaz bring home the championship thanks to a big game from Adrian Peterson, the 49ers D/ST and another niner named Frank Gore. Heres how everyone finished:
#1 Kumba's Miami Fightin Iguanaz (9-6.): Maybe it was meant to be as Kumba started the season in first place after going 5-0. However after that it was 2-5 and only thanks to tie breakers and point totals he was able to grab the #2 seed. After a first round bye he had to take on K0NG who had owned him during the season. Kumba won that match thanks to Arron Rodgers posting a QB season high 37 points. Not bad for the 51st pick. Thankfully for Kumba In:Cities beat Comet who would have been the only team who could have topped the 119 he scored to take down the title as the Pelicans faltered. Nice for the league GM to win and he did not even cheat... would have been so easy
#2 In:Citie's Florida Pelicans (9-7.): Josh came out strong going 4-1, but stumbled a little mid-season. He got the wins he needed to get a round 1 home game where he finally got the JDP Monkey off his back after two loses to said Monkey by a total of 4 points. He faced Comet and his epic 9 game win streak in round 2, but managed his best game all season as Manning, Jackson and Johnson helped him tally 136 to level Comet's meager 71 point showing. In the finals he had to get the Kumba monkey off his back after being swept by him during the season. However his team stumbled, bumbled and fumbled there way to a second place finish. Great work all season and not a bad showing considering this was your first time playing fantasy football.
#3 Comet's Long Island Trojans (9-5.): So he started 1-4, but managed a fairly good turn around as in his final 9 games he won all freaking 9 of them! Also helps that he had Chris Johnson who single handily won a few of those games for him. Brees helped too and he loved using whatever Jets he could. However it was those Jets and a weak game from Brees that lead to the snapping of his streak and his playoff exit in round two as he got lambasted by In:Cities. I guess Comet can take comfort in finishing with the fewest loses even if he did not win it all. I expect he'll be back next year with a vengeance.
#4 K0NG's LA Apes of NB/CM (8-7.): K0NG had a real up and down season as he jumped out the gate 6-2 and over took Kumba for the league lead after a huge win week 6. However following that win and a couple more he drop four games in a row. Still he managed to make the playoffs with round 1 home game which he won. After being the only team to beat Kumba twice in the regular season his luck ran up in their third match-up. Overall a really good job and you were really a beast with drop/add as your hunches could really rack up the points.
#5 JDP's Team JDP (6-8.): This Pennsylvania native lived and died by the Eagles. Not a bad team to have in your corner as it got JDP into the playoffs as the 5 seed. Thing was he could only beat In:Cities so many times as he got bounced in round 1. Great effort tho, you really put up a fight and gave your opponents a lot to handle.
#6 Chapelz's Austin War Elephants (6-8.): What a comeback as Chapelz started 1-6, but wrapped up the season with a 5-1 burst to nap the final playoff spot. Looking back he might be kicking himself for that AP, Clark and Marshall for Turner, CJ and McFadden trade with Kumba. If not for that the season might have been a lot different.
#7 gir's Raleigh-Durham Skyhwaks (5-8.): He won 3 of his first five games, but then it was all downhill and even with too late wins was not able to grab a playoff spot. Good effort tho, and I think you can take the award for best wavier wire use as you managed a great line-up off it.
#8 Top Gun's Carolina Corndogs (5-8.): How did he finish last when he should have been a top contender? I mean he had the better Manning, most of the top WRs and even scored the third most points during the season. Thats an A for effort if I ever saw one. -

Never done a playoff challenge before, but I am this year. Would be happy if some of you guys could do it to, so I set up a league at NFL.com.
I think there is no draft and we might all be able to pick from all the players in each round. Also I know there are real prizes the NFL offers like a trip to next years bowl, just im not sure if our league is eligible for that, will check tho.
Please PM me with your E-mail if you want to join and I'll send you an invite. You don't have to have been in the ESPN league to join.
I look forward to kicking all your asses... again!
Oh and check out what I got my Fightin Iguana to do in honor of my championship ^ well one of them, I also won the championships in my other two leagues -

Was nice to see you all ask for invites, but only two of you signed up. You only got till Saturday before the first game to get in this... -

This is a really tough list of players to choose from. All the players are decent but aren't that consistent. -

Was getting marked as spam for me, so if you have a folder or place for that you might want to check there. I re-sent it. -
K0NG Offline
Yeah, it was in the SPAM folder. So, I finally got to the page and signed up and got my team. I was freakin out because I couldn't find Favre or Brees or Rivers, etc....til I realized that they're not on the list because of the bye. Anyway, good luck to whoever makes it before kickoff tomorrow, we'll see how this little league plays out. -
Comet Offline
Yeah it was in spam, amazing how that finds its way with some of the other stuff I get
Anyway I think I joined, but I'm not too confident with my team
I don't feel comfortable without Brees and CJ
