(Archive) Advertising District / Cedar Fair style park

After canceling Silver Valley I started a new park. I hope to make it my best with as much realism as possible. This is also the first time I've used the Zero Clearance feature for custom supports and stuff. Hope you enjoy! (all of the screens are unfinished)

One of the multiple train stations around the park, each with a different theme.

A Arrow Mine train, this is my first coaster I edited with 8cars trainer.

The Arrow suspended coaster called Firehawk, its located near the front of the park.

Most of the CCI woodies layout, I'm not sure what to call it yet. Suggestions?

Mustang the parks B&M hyper coaster, its completely custom supported.

call the woodie Double Fudge Brownie:]]]

but seriously, architecture is very plain and boxy, but its still unfinished, so i guess i'll have to wait and see more until i can comment on it again.

foliage is a bit strange to me, but i like the queue for the arrow mine train.

and also, on that last screen, you might want to tone it down a bit with some of them trashcans:]

your supports seem to be off in the last picture? and i also feel like the carosel should have some sort of cover, i dont like how it sits in the wide open, but other then that i like it :) cant wait to see more

If your going for realism, try thicker supports on the suspended coaster. They look far to thin to support the swinging motion of the coaster.

Here's a good picture of how thick the supports are in real life.

And get rid of those god-awful trees in the first screen. I HATE them. I think they look ridiculous. And it's not because they don't fit in your park. I just hate them. Period.

Yeah fix those suspended supports. Arrow used some beefy ass chunks of metal on their suspended supports.
  • G Force%s's Photo
I would change the supports, but due to the horrible bench I made there's no other option, Sorry. Here's are some buildings I made in the front of the park along with the carousel cover and a new coaster.

The new carousel cover is better. For the new coaster, I'd have Mini or Kiddie coaster track, then use 8cars to add the hyper trains. The layout is pretty good for a kiddie on RCT2 limitations.

Please get rid of those big trees.. they look awful IMO. I have also never been a big fan of the tulips in RCT, or at least not in large numbers like you have. I think you should replace most of the tulips with the generic flowers in RCT, and cut back all together on the amount of flowers because right now it looks a bit excessive. The architecture looks like you have a solid start. Just focus on adding details and realistic touches to the structures to add to the quality and atmosphere and to really give it that "Cedar Fair" feel

^ No. Merge the station with the cars you want in the track you want, and run it in a different operating mode, what you suggest, will cause a lot of breakdowns of the ride.

For the park. I don't like it ...
The carousel, why do you have it enclosed? It looks ugly, and is not realistic ...
  • SSSammy%s's Photo
let me fix that for you Cena

^ allow me to sugget a possible more adequate solution. Merge the station with the cars you want in the track you want, and run it in a different operating mode, what you suggest, will cause a lot of breakdowns of the ride.

For the park. I don't like it ... but thats okay cause youre very new to the game and not everyone is perfect.

    better. :D
    c'mon Remy, manners, bro.
  • G Force%s's Photo
I'm confused now, should I keep the cover for the Carousel or not?

I don't really know how to merge track and stuff like that, every time I try I get a white glitch or the track gets deleted.

The trees will be removed, and I'll try to use more kinds of flowers.

I'll also try to add more detail to the buildings and some more Cedar Fair feel.

I still need answers to the questions in my last post, please it would really help me out.

Anyways he res a screen of the new buildings on the midway, some or the flowers have been changed since I took the picture.

i actually like the carosel cover. i believe im kinda in the same park with you when building parks ( idont know how new you are) but try to use some quarter blocks, they work wonders :), i honestly believe your doing a great job though!
  • G Force%s's Photo
Ok I'm going to keep the Cover because its different and I love it.

Here are 4 new coasters, Banshee a 3 inversion Arrow looper, a John Allen out and Back Woodie (I forget the name), Woodstock the parks Dinn corp. Woodie, and The Twisted One and B&M Stand-up.

I'm not sure if I should custom support it, what do you think?

ok, im assuming you just want us to comment on the coasters?
first, i think that corkscrew is way to high and i dont like the helix over the pathway. the white woodie looks nice though, good job on that. the brown one looks good too, the only thing i dont like is the underground segment, it just dosnt seem necessary and i like the b&m, looks good. im not really a fan of the stations though....
  • G Force%s's Photo
I'm still working on the layout for the looper, that's why I didn't support it all yet. I'll see what I can do. The B&M station will be changed, that was the old one before I changed the colors. I kind of like the tunnel on the Dinn Woodie, but I will make the entrance and exit of the tunnel better.
