Anyone noticed that, in the Whzz Kids park, the brown building on the right is missing some windows? -

Trying to find a flaw to give us a reason to vote AL, huh?

Nope. The Whzz Kids park is still better. I doesn't have to be their fault though. Sometimes when I'm building in RCT2 some of the placed objects just dissapear. Maybe might happened to them too.Edited by MCD, 09 July 2009 - 08:39 AM.

So I finally voted. Went with Whzz Kids, too. Didn't think this was 23-0, wow. While I liked Belmont better for some reason, the indoor park concept of Lenox is incredibly hard to pull off well, because it easily turns into chaos. Lenox didn't have that as much as I had expected. It was a positive surprise. What I liked best was the Hammer/Hanger (don't remember correct name) custom ride. Bloody brilliant.
I did like the flyer in the ALs park. It had a fun and flowing layout. Also the station I found to be enjoyable. What's up with trapping the peeps at the exit again though? Did you mean to make it look like people were purposely fooling around the exit to get an extra free ride on the next train where there are empty seats? -

Finally found my CD so I was able to load both of these up, and unfortunately for the Legends, Lenox Mall was just amazing. All the little stores and custom rides and everything was just amazing. Alumwell was also a cool little park, I just thought it could do with more rides and less buildings.
When I get the vote codes down, my vote's going to Lenox. -

Well done guys. I still can't believe only 24 votes came through. What's happened?
Interesting combination AL, you had a great park, just it was beaten by an even better one. -

Unlucky Alphas. I wonder who will come in third and fourth place? -

Oh god. That's a large majority of the vote. Congrats Whzz Kids! Hopefully you'll fulfill a perfect run unlike the Patriots. -

Wow. This H2H is shaping up to be a one-sided fist fight between the Whzzkids and everyone else. I sense a tight matchup between them and the Hurricanes. -

Here's the "who did what" sketch.
Thanks to Jon and Adam for their effort, it was really nice to work with them. And yeah, I think that except for a few flaws, our park turned out very well, it just got beaten by a better one. Congrats whzz kids for reaching the finals unbeaten and also to the Hurricanes for such a great H2H record. We should actually conratulate every h2h team though, for their enthusiasm and commitment, not to mention i've been amazed with everyone's work and have seen so many great ideas during this contest, I mean, it's incredible how far RCT has gone. Anyway, this is it, H2H5 end is getting close and I can't wait to see the last 4 parks. Good luck everybody! -

As I wrote a short resumée to all the H2H5 parks yet, I need to catch up here.
Lenox Mall:
The overview impressed me. At first I was sceptical that the park was too crammed and that there was too much going on, but when I looked at the park itself it was alright. Just like a real shopping mall. All the shops were ridiculus! So much details, it's amazing. I think after viewing the park a few times there are still things I missed. The subway station was a great idea too. I really can imagine myself getting to that mall, either by foot, by car or by metro. What I found a bit confusing were the ups and downs the pathway takes around Nebulocity. That would be a bit tricky for guests to figure out imo. Otherwise the mall layout was very good. Nebulocity clearly was the star attraction. I liked the whole Jubilee Odyssey meets Maverick style. haha. I didn't like how the track after the launch was so short, it was a bit misplanned imo. I would have either made the track before the lift longer or even drop the launch trick and make just a lift. But still the coaster was amazing, especially all the hacks (working duel station - wow!) and the aesthetics. It seemed a bit too high for the whole complex, I might be wrong though. The bike coaster was nice, I liked how it traveled through the whole mall. I can imagine parents let their kids ride those while they go shopping. The shooting star and the hammerhead were amazing too. I can't imagine how to do stuff like this. Amazing! I was a bit dissapointed that the Lightspeed ride didn't work as it did in Whzzfest... Oh and N-Sanity was the icing on the cake. The surroundings were great as well. The roads, the parking garage, just everything! I loved this park and it surely is one of the best of H2H5! Great work guys!
Alumwell Bay:
From the overview I was a bit dissapointed, I expected the bes AL park of the season for this matchup. But still it had some nice things in it. The layout of the flyer was really cool. And the big ship was nice too. But all in all the park looked rushed AND unfinished. I didn't like the Zipline on top of the hill. It was somehow awkward and ugly and it ruined parts of the flying coaster. The houses Juan did were really nice, I liked those. But the park looked too sterile and cold for a beach park. I dunno why but I think because of big concrete buildings. The woody looked good at first, but I didn't like how it hang in the chain for minutes. That was pretty annoying. The boat ride was a bit lackluster, it was just travelling back and forth on invisible track and it didn't work for me. All in all I must say I was pretty dissapointed with this park. Sorry Alpha Legends!

Well, as the results tell, my vote obviously went to Lenox Mall on this one. I appreciate when people try something a bit different; something which hasn't properly been done before... and Lenox Mall fulfilled this. Not only that, but it was just done so well that you feel that it cannot be bettered! All the details were there, with the great looking shops, the escalators, advertising boards etc. - it felt really busy and had the atmosphere of a proper mall.
The rides section was really great too; the custom flats were just stupendous. LOVED the X-Scream style ride there too - great idea and positioning. I actually thought the weakest part was the coaster for me... it just seemed a little bit too over the place, which maybe was the point (I guess it is built in a mall) but I dunno, it lacked a really good 'flow', I thought. But still decent.
Alumwell Bay wasn't bad, but was hardly going to break boundaries like its competitor, and was nowhere near as well executed. I liked the flyer and the boat, but too much felt a bit like 'we've seen it all before'... and we've seen it better done before. The only novel part was that zip-line style ride... which I didn't think was puleld off that well. As I say, all in all, the park was decent, but hardly 'revolutionary' like Lenox was.
