Editing this post because what I wrote was too harsh and was just really annoyed at the time being.

Southport for me...Roman Vice was just too odd for me, good ideas, not very good execution.
My opinion....don't be a hater

Zburns I think it's funny that you say that because the Flying Germans Park contained NONE of that, nothing unique. All the Flying German's park was, was TONS of roller coasters in a small area and small architecture.
Are you seriously complaining about MAZES when a 60x60 park has 3, yes thats right THREE wooden roller coasters!
Ok, so I dont really like to comment on our Parks or but in until after the voting, but I'm stepping in here.
Tons of roller coasters in a small area - Yeah, that was the point. Take a look Blackpool, everything is on top of everything else, people who have been there will completely understand, the feeling that Blackpool gives off, everything is so tightly packed.
Three wooden roller coasters - Again, have you seen Blackpool? Oh and you missed 1, Wild Mouse is wooden, therefore there is actually 4 This was yet another point to the park.
Anyway, thanks to all the great comments on our park so far, I havent had a chance to look at the Hurricane's but when I do i'll post my review -

Okay but the park was too small for that many roller coasters. I think a few less would have been better but whatever. -

In a way, I would perhaps agree with that statement, although as they were placed, I thought the coasters were nice. It was a nice park to look around and the Arrow was definitely a highlight since we really don't see those very often. I think the main problem with me was that it seemed to be missing some of the features I might expect from a seaside park like this. First off, I would've loved to have seen some dark rides... like some classic old mill rides or just a haunted house or something. The outdoor areas were nice, although seemed almost too polished (it was good polished, but I would almost expect tons more game areas and stands spilling out into the paths and such). Same outside, I suppose. The attempt out front with the buildings and games was great, although something like the space out front of Blackpool where there's all those sort of run-down looking buildings with what I would expect to be junk shops and stuff like that. I'm sure that a lot of this came down to lack of time. That said, it's a really nice park all in all.
In the end, though, I'm going to have to throw my vote towards Rome. The dueling coasters were very nice and there was lots of stuff to look at, along with the huge architecture. As with most stuff from this building, it's impressive too look at, but altogether busy in a lot of ways, which made it harder to look at. With things flying all over the place, sometimes it's harder to place them all where they're supposed to go. Still, though, it was monumentally impressive, and I think that's probably what won it for me. -

Do you know what would have been better? Do research before you post some stupid posts like you did the past few days. Here, go see and check out how Blackpool Pleasure Beach looks like. You stupid jackass.
Parks looks great from the overview, still need to download the Hurricanes park, and will decide later where I vote for (proberly for FG but not sure yet.) -

Don't get me wrong here, Level's being ridiculously annoying, but some of you guys need to realize that you can't expect everyone to know what you're trying to recreate/represent. You may build the most perfect reflection of a park, but there's always going to be a certain percentage of the population that can't appreciate realism. The way I see it, that's a risk that you have to take when you decide to go realistic in the context of a contest where you're trying to get votes.
And whoever made Southport Pleasure Beach: was it finished/were you rushed?

I didn't like the park as much as the Hurricanes park so please stop. I'm sure I could have liked the park if it was better, but it was just a bunch of coasters in my eyes.
But seriously I don't know how people can enjoy a park that is trying to recreate another park. -

I usually don't like to contradict my own self but, Travis......pick the bong back up. Maybe you'll have a more pleasant experience viewing RCT parks. Hell, maybe you'll even have some sort of an epiphany, actually build something, and show us all how it should be done.
Yeah....just doob it, have a choke and a smile. And chill the fuck out.
BTW-Burnsy...nice job on getting the Chestnut avatar up so quickly!Edited by K0NG, 04 July 2009 - 02:17 PM.

so, i had to vote for roman vice.
seriously though, is there anything you can do to make the game run fluently? i don't enjoy looking at parks like this AT ALL. it's so bloody jerky, i don't even want to explore what's there.
i voted roman vice because overall it seemed almost twice as much as blackpool, and the execution was more complex and detailed. -

My feelings exactly. I know I'm on a laptop and I don't expect fantastic performance but it's somewhat unwatchable for me, even in lower resolutions.
