I actually didn't start this argument.

I think carowinds version will be better, anyone agree?

So far more people seem more excited for it, especially since 305 is a bit of a mixed bag, but I think it's much less interesting. Both will probably be very good, and I wouldn't be surprised if Carowinds version turns out to be the best B&M hyper ever, but I'd rather have the Intamin version (especially with Apollo's Chariot just down the road, which is already an excellent B&M hyper, and my personal favorite of theirs). B&M's are more consistently good, but Intamin's have more potential for greatness.

I think it depends on personal taste. The Carowinds version is all about airtime, but the KD version looks to be about speed, which I think more closely relates to Earnhardt. And 305 feet is kind of intimidating.

That looks beautiful. I'm wondering, though, whether or not that ladder underneath the double spine going to stay. I'm guessing it's for construction purposes, as I don't see how anyone could maintain the track in that kind of position.

PS- the small support before the fist one(which is currently incomplete) is a temp support and will be removed after the lift hill is complete and stable.

    that was *facepalm* fm.

Why does its track have a double spine? I don't think MF had a double spine.
  • FullMetal%s's Photo
^Not sure, but it looks sexy.
  • Jaguar%s's Photo
The double spine kinda makes it look like beemer or premier track from far distance.
  • geewhzz%s's Photo
to allow for less supports = saved steel costs.
  • Louis!%s's Photo
Yeah it's Intamin's new way of doing things. I love how the lift and drop is done it looks so sexy.
  • Jaguar%s's Photo
I think the double spine looks cool too, but it seems unconventional and strange for an intamin. I wonder if it would look good to have a double spine in rct2.
  • FullMetal%s's Photo
If you merged or hacked it, probably not. I think someone would have to edit the Intamin track pieces to have a double spine. Probably wouldn't be too hard, although I wouldn't be the one to do it.
