(Archive) Advertising District / Sunshine Peninsula

Im planning this park out bit by bit so far ive got this plan


The green will be the paths
Purple will be residential housing
Yellow will be a lake
The red will be a row of shops with a jetty near the shops
the checkered is for community area like a libary or other stuff

The style of the area is australian housing none of the outback boomerang stuff

The layout is near were i live about 10 min away
Any suggestions for layout?
BTW none of it is accurate

Not much to comment on really. I mean it's a map with coloured land. I know it's a plan, but it doesnt show anything. Sure some plans do, some plans are really well done so you can see what's going where and comment on it, but in this case it's not.

Its interesting that you are doing something different with RCT, reminds me of that Community Housing RCT project that was around a while back.

Ok, if your going for a first park, then why do you have to plan it like that?

The only planning I ever do is doodle stuff up, and thats it.
Also, if this is your first park, then why are you doing something that sounds like a shopping center? I mean a hotel is understandable, but house's, come on.

^Planning does help. I always plan out my park, first on paper and then in game. Sketching and researching is one thing, in-game planning is another, it's always good to have a rough in-game plan. You don't always stick to it, but it offers some sort of guidance.

Because if this is your first park ever, I would hate to see what you work would be like in a couple years (if RCT is still existent)

my other park got to the enterance of a non custom park does that still count

True. Not trying to be a smart allic(sp?) but a peninsula is a body of land that is surrounded by water on 3 sides...

Very nice house, but I would do something else besides the checkered roof.

Looks nice, just don't like how you built that first building (screen wise, and I'm guessing overall) right on the edge of the map... just doesn't look good.
