My vote went to the Minutemen.
I really loved the atmosphere there, it had that utopia-mysterious-feeling (?!), and it reminded me of Janus' En Midvinternattsdröm. Also the park + readme and music made me want to play that game (i've never heard of it before). I don't quite understand though why costum1.wav is in double speed...
The Germans' park was very good aswell, it just didn't intrigue me that much. If it were finished, the choice would possibly be harder. -

If I like the 50% complete park more than the 95% complete park, why shouldn't I vote for it?Why can a park that is 95% finished been beaten by a park that is only 50% finished?
And I guess the better question is, if we all voted for the same criteria, would we even need this contest? -

voted bioshock
I had no preforemance loss at all when watching that park so I would like to see a version with water once, cause I think that will give it even more atmosphere, if you do it right (so not use the ingame water but use transparant objects).
the other parks was nice but had some unfinnished stuff in it and some slopy things (like entrances still visible etc). altough the park wasn't bad I tought bioshock was better cause it had some really nice things. and gave something new from every angle. -

And another one:
BioShock - Welcome to Rapture:
I know the game BioShock, but I've never played it. There were some things I liked. The crashed plane in the water, The archy and the atmosphere beyond the sea. I took a lot of time to view the park calmly. But the longer I looked, the more I was confused. Why were the coasters going out in the water? Why's there a log flume in the middle of the ocean? Why is the music high pitched? If it was fantasy OK, but the theme is about an isolated civilization out in the sea and so why do people can live under water? Did they got some gills? H.P. Lovecraft anyone? Although it could have been a nice idea, it was just too strange for me.
Calypso Quay:
This was simply the best water park I've ever seen. Period. I loved the entrance area and how the peeps waited in line to get a entrance ticket, very clever idea! Everything was just amazing, from the foliage to the working rides to the peepability! I do agree that the flyer as awesome it really was, didn't fit in. A rollersoaker would've been way better. I wasn't sure about the overall theme of it. It looked a bit European but still it's called Calypso Quay and is a water park. I understand if it's themed after Blizzard Beach or something then it'd fit, but this way I was missing some sort of concept. Pity you need to use RCTModified to watch it properly, but still... I'm impressed! For me it was the best park this far and also the best water park ever, so please finish!

Calypso Quay ftw.
I agree with basically everything said about the parks so no need to add anything... except the readme was confusing. It was written from multiple points of view in different times. (Like present, past, etc.) That said, it could be written by a foreigner in which case it would be fine.
Also, the Hurricanes/Whzz Kids match is going to be great. -

Well done guys. You worked hard, it was a shame it was unfinished but I know the effort was put in. So well done on the win.Edited by Louis!, 17 May 2009 - 02:54 AM.

I didn't reply to this matchup yet, so here are my thoughts about Bioshock:
Minutemen
While your first park lacked in originality, this park totally compensates that! Awesome idea. I never played Bioshock, but I once saw a trailer of it. When I opened the park, I recognized it quite fast so that's positive. There are two main problems with this park. The first problem is that there isn't much too look at. Most of the park consists of rocks, roofs and walls, altough the interiors were very pleasant. The second problem is the lagging of the park, it's really annoying. The coasters were hard to follow, and when the game runs slow like this it's even boring to watch them. Because of these two problems combined I didn't view this park for too long. Actually, the game crashed when I zoomed out and I didn't feel like restarting the game. I was done with the park. Despite these problems, the architecture was cool and as I said the concept was too. Congratulations on finishing this park!
I thought Turtle and DelLagos worked on this park, but apparently I was wrong about Turtle. I'm glad about that, I usually love Turtle's work and it would be a dissapointment if this park was his too...
Calypso Quay
Working on this park was extreme. The night before the deadline I went to sleep at 5 am! The park during construction was confusing in some places, which slowed down my building process. RRP also suddenly noticed how slow he builds. I pity the fact that the park is unfinished, but the park is probably cursed.
Here's a screen of who did what:
RRP did all the rides, except for the Master Blaster, the Bowl Slides and the Looping Slide. We're both involved in designing the coaster. The huge watertank was a diving pool btw, I'm suprised some people didn't recognize it as there was a tower next to it, with some diving boards at different heights.
It was a great pleasure to work with RRP. Without him, the park would probably be nothing. I started with shit, but he pushed me into the right direction, so thanks!
The Flying Germans are back in the game! -

Liampie was obvious to me as well, his typical roofstyle was in this park, and there I could see that he was involved in this.
Not sure if the win is deserved, because the FG park is too unfinished for me, so I can't judge correctly. -
