This project is most inspirational Coasterdude. Your way of advertising is very convincing and the park looks fantastic. It makes me want to play RCT3, until I open it up for like, 5 minutes and get angry with it. Great job. -

Well this is my last week in South Carolina before I return to school. There has been very little rumblings about next year, so I doubt we'll see anything major. Things aren't looking that great for the company, but hopefully we'll see a turnaround soon.
Tony Hawk's Big Spin looks good from the parking lot...
...as well as from one of the spinning cars!
I'm not sure why they ran an empty car.
I'll have one more update before I leave.

Well folks, today is my last day in South Carolina this year. It's been a fun summer. I think Tony Hawk was a great move for the park, as we've really been lacking a true family coaster.
I've heard a few rides will receive new coats of paint next year. Hopefully Undertaker is one of them.
I love this view of the park.
I took one last ride on V2 before heading out.
Goodbye, Six Flags. I'll see you again next year.

It's great to be back in South Carolina! I took a trip to the park today to check out the new Bizarro and Wii Experience.
While I don't particularly care for the purple and blue color scheme, it does make a drastic change to the park's skyline.
Even the entrance building has a new look.
The fire effect is really great. [CD5 note: the knuckles will be fixed!]
Wii Experience costs $10 to ride. Needless to say as a broke college student, I did not ride.
Have a great day.

Today I checked out the Deer Park Plunge site. There are some interesting rumors surrounding it.
Other than removing the flume and station, there's been very little work done to the area. I believe this backs up the claim that the ride itself was unstable and was more a safety hazard than sitting on top of valuable real estate.
Either way, I think it's doubtful that we'll see anything on this land until 2011 at the earliest.
Bizarro's line was outrageous today, but that was probably due to the fact that only one train was being run.
Same situation at Green Falcon... step it up Six Flags!

I forgot to mention that both Undertaker and Batman got new coats of paint this year.
Fresh paint makes a world of difference.
Batman kept its original color scheme. I was a little surprised.
Green Falcon isn't quite ready for new paint.
Have a great day.

Did I mention that Firebomb was removed during the off-season? It was.
There was no word on why the ride was removed, but it was probably the fact that it was closed more than it was open.
The ride platform has been converted into a picnic area. I haven't heard anything on what new attraction might take its place, if anything.
Bizarro is beautiful, no matter the color.
No lines equals multiple re-rides.
I took one last ride on Undertaker before calling it a day.

I spent the whole day at the park and left with a painful sunburn. I need to remember to bring that sunscreen next time!
After the removal of the log flume, I've made a point to pay more attention to the classic rides at the park, such as Vulture.
Speaking of Deer Park Plunge, very little work has been done on the site since the flume was removed. There have been rumors that the ride was removed because the land it was built on is unstable. Hmm...
Undertaker was running pretty rough today. I hope it wasn't that paint job!
Now to go put some Aloe Vera on this burn!

To pay more attention to rides such as Vulture? bit of a typo there or seriously referring to the suspended..?After the removal of the log flume, I've made a point to pay more attention to the classic rides at the park, such as Vulture.

So far there have been few rumors about next year. As I was at the park today I looked around for possible markers but I couldn't find anything.
It's very possible that we won't see anything big until the company recovers... which could be a long ways off.
I think it will be a while before we see another big coaster.
Tidal Wave's operation has been spotty lately.
The park wasn't crowded today at all. The heat probably kept some people away, as well as the threat for rain.
Now it's time for a ride on Bizarro...have a great rest of the day!

I've heard some exciting news: next year's new attraction will be built on the old Deer Park Plunge site. We should be seeing some activity around this area very soon.
I like seeing Bizarro from this angle. Is it sad that I started typing Superman? It's been six months since the coaster was renamed.
The park wasn't too crowded today. Most lines never exceeded 15 minutes. That's pretty typical for a mid-summer weekday.
Strangely, Undertaker was closed for the entire time I was at the park. Hmm...
Tony Hawk is still very popular with the families (of four anyway).
Some poor woman lost her lunch on Gotham City Crime Wave. Unfortunately this is not a rare occurence.

Today was a hot summer day. The lines were long but I stayed at the park for most of the day.
I've heard a new Batman show will take place in the Gotham theater next year.
I also heard that this is the area of the park to watch for future development. I'm assuming they're talking about the large plot of land that was once home to SkyCoaster.
Riding Tony Hawk at night is interesting to say the least.
Luckily for me the lines died down once the sun set.
It was still a decent wait, though.
