good idea to crack down on guest conduct. We dont need no Peep on Peep action.

I don't see anything wrong with a little kiss. As long as they aren't groping or anything more serious (like vandalizing the place). Screens are looking great; good to see some different stuff after the past like 6 updates. And when BTR flies over the flat spins on the video, it looks so real. -

16th Season
Well, it's June and that means the summer season is upon us! The crowds are still heavy and the rides are running non-stop. I went to the park this afternoon and took a few rides on Derecho. I'm writing a story on the history of the ride and I figured riding it in person would be a great place to start!
The entrance has remained unchanged since Six Flags bought the park.
The coaster is the tallest of its kind in the Carolinas.
The first drop is fun, especialy in the back of the train.
The coaster is fast and forceful. Don't ride after eating a big lunch!
Derecho is the longest coaster at Six Flags South Carolina.
What a ride!
Thanks for reading - who knows when I'll pop back into the park!

Going off your BTR video the pacing is pretty terrible, and, while it may not be your fault but more so rct3, the transitions are just bad. -

the name of the woodie is....'right, upright, striaght or direct'?
um, i vote no.
you can come up with something more creative then that.... or plenty of more awesome sounding spanish words
everything else looks pretty awesome for rct3 though.....

A derecho is a type of thunderstorm. Yes, it does come from the spanish word for "straight," but I think he's referring to the storm.

If I remember correctly, the ride was going to be named Patriot, but was changed to Derecho because the ride was damaged by a storm, or 'derecho' as Alpengeistfan1 said, and thus renamed to fit it's background. -

curses, i thought i was being so smart!
I still don't like it. doesnt sound right or seem to fit. I'd say find something cooler -

The name doesn't matter...it's South Carolina. They're just going to refer to it as "Big Dang Woohoo" anyway. Although they might confuse "Derecho" and think it's a shop selling cheese covered tortilla chips. -

Yes, Derecho also refers to a type of storm. As stated earlier, it was named Derecho because of the storm that damaged it during its construction.

16th Season
We're nearing August and work is already beginning for next year's addition!
We've been told the new ride will be constructed on top of Harbortown Drive's old foundation.
I did a little "investigative journalism" and peeked through the fence to get a peak at what was going on. It looks like they've dug quite a hole in the ground. Perhaps a foundation for the new ride?
I'm glad this ride is coming to the Harbortown area - it was so badly damaged after the storm. Hopefully this new attraction will breathe new life into the park.
Security was called to this dispute between two families over a line-jumping matter. Uh oh!
The new ride will be announced on Wednesday!

16th Season
We're nearing the end of the park's first season as Six Flags South Carolina and things are really picking up for next year's new ride.
Hmmm....
Is a new coaster heading to Six Flags South Carolina?
I do believe that is rollercoaster track!
"Just one more ride on the bumper cars?"
See you tomorrow for the announcement!

Sorry if I've missed this in the last few pages, but has there been a recent download? The only download I've got is for 1985, which seems so long ago now. -

I read this and thought 'Wow, fraroc actually made a good point.'so its probably a B&M
I then read this, looked at the screenshot, and my head hit the desk instantly.
NOTE FOR FRAROC*
Because I'm almost certain you won't get my headdesk moment above, I'll just ask you to look at the track in the screenshot (Which is the only unblurry bit, so it shouldn't be too hard to find ), and then go on RCDB and see if any B&M's have that track.
Oh, and for the record, it could always be a Schwarzkopf relocation -

1995
17th SeasonCHARLESTON - A tidal wave will strike in 1995 at Six Flags South Carolina with the opening of a shoot-the-chute style attraction aptly named Tidal Wave! The six-story water attraction is guaranteed to be just as fun for onlookers as the riders themselves with many viewing areas and a "soaking" platform near the ride's sixty-foot plunge.
Guests will depart the station in six-seat boats before climbing to the peak of the ride's height. After a quick turnaround, riders will plunge six stories to a giant pool of water below. The ride is manufactured by Premier Rides.
"This additon confirms our dedication to this park," park president Jeffrey Bell said. "We are dedicated to continuing this park's growth."
Tidal Wave will open when the park opens for its second season as a Six Flags park in April of next year.
I will get an exclusive look at Tidal Wave tomorrow before the ride opens to the public!
