14th Season
We are having difficulties finding new ways to bring in the crowds. Our "$5 after 5" was not succesful and our newest addition is not bringing us an influx of guests as new additions usually do.
I will try to keep you updated.

Emerald Bay doesn't seem to be marketable enough to draw in the crowds we saw 3-4 years ago.
We received our highest attendance levels in 1984 when Vulture opened.
We are communicating with corporate to see what can be done to reverse this decline. -

It looks nice but as with all rct3 projects that look good i hate the screens. Theres always far to much camera/photoshop trickery. I want to see what the park and the rides actually look like not low shots with HDR bloom or night shots where i can see nothing.
The same goes with construction screens. Im never going to be able to view this in game with my current pc so id actually like to see the park rather than a low angle shot of a crane and a piece of track.
If we could get some regular screens (no night, rain, fog, low angle) id appreciate it
heres some examples :

RRP, so basically you want me to present the park in a RCT2 style? Unfortunately, I find presenting the park as it is seen in the game rather boring. I try to make my parks as realistic as possible, and adding some photoshop effects adds to the realism. -

i dont think he means "in a RCT2 style" , rather, in a way that we can check out your park design and such in a way where it isn't dependant on effects. -

sammys got it, i'd appreciate rct3 topics more if we saw more of the park. Im generalising here but id like to see more park and less of what i posted about above. You dont have to stop posting those screens but im sure others including me would like to see more park design -

CD5, I have been looking at some wooden coasters at the atari forum such as this one: http://www.ataricomm...ad.php?t=693285. I noticed that they do not use the in game supports and instead make their own custom ones which look a lot more realistic and cleaner. Perhaps, at some point in the story of the park (mid '90s) you could say you are refurbishing Derecho and in doing so you add new custom supports to the coaster. -

To sort of echo what RRP said, I'd love to see a couple more helicopter shots. Just to see the overall layout of the park, really.
Everything else looks great.
As for the attendance issue, perhaps partnering with a company like Coca-Cola or Pepsi would bring in more guests. I hear there's a great pizzeria around nowadays called Papa John's. Perhaps you should check them out. -

14th Season
Charleston Gardens Amusement Park has been put up for sale by its owner, Funtime Parks, Inc.
FPI says if the park is not sold by end of 1989, the park will close with rides being redistributed to FPI's other properties.
FPI will operate the park next season while it actively searches for a new owner.
Charleston Gardens opened in 1975 and was bought by FPI four years later.
The park recently added "Emerald Bay", which includes two family rides.
Attendance has been declining for three seasons now. We will keep you updated on this developing situation. -

Not again... Hopefully the next owners will be able to reverse the trend and bring some excitement into the park.
EDIT: My 2,000th post!
