The time has come for us to say goodbye to Carolina Calmity.

Some employees were treated to one last ride late afternoon two days ago before demolition began.


By the next morning signage had already been removed.


Demolition began mid-afternoon yesterday..


By this morning many pieces of track were being hauled off to the scrap yard. Due to the ride's shape, it was impossible to move it to another Funtime property.


Nearly everything was gone in a matter of days.

Hey guys I apologize for the lack of updates over the past few days. I had surgery on Wednesday and the recovery process has proven to be alot more difficult and drawn out than I originally anticipated. Regular updates should return tomorrow.

I hate when coasters are scrapped, no matter how bad.

Third screen is very good. You don't see shots like that very often in the RCT community.

Also, Shammy gets bonus points for his tissue joke. I almost fell out of my chair.

Hello all! I have a very special announcement. Charleston Gardens Amusement Park will remain open through the month of December for the first ever "A Charleston Gardens Christmas" event. The park will be decked with Christmas decorations and all of your favorite rides and attractions will be open! Things get even better on Christmas Day when we announce our largest capital investment in Charleston Gardens Amusement Park's history.

Grandma's Bakery has been decorated with candy canes and is now serving a plethora of Christmastime eats.

I personally am hoping for a new roller coaster.

Something from B&M, they were around in 84/85 ( I think).

Personally, I think a huge expansion is a bad idea, especially if it's "the largest capital investment in the park's history."

But if it's a large capital investment we're getting, then I hope it's an Arrow Corkscrew!
