Whilst it doesnt make me think I need to go and play RCT3, it gives a different feeling.

I'm completely immersed in the screens, as if I'm there. This is the strongest feeling of this I've had, so well done

1976

Welcome to the first day of our second season! The crowds today far surpassed last year's turnout. I have a gut feeling it had something to do with our new giant, Derecho.

The entrance area was packed before the park opened its gates for the day!


Some arrived as early as two hours before opening!


Seeing the ride in person made quite a few guests have second thoughts about riding, it's alot larger in person!


A new gift shop was constructed adjacent to the entrance of Derecho. In it you can find American-themed apparel. Our 200th birthday is right around the corner!


The first excited guests entered Derecho's queue line about five minutes after we opened.


The tension builds!


We'll have to wait until the train comes back to hear what the first group of riders think!

Can we see more of the station?

This park reminds me so much of Carowinds.

The first drop towers over the rest of the park.


The second and third hills aren't much smaller!


The turnaround provides a short relief.


But soon it's back to the fun!

Would it be too much trouble to ask you to take your giant bulky 1976-style video camera and shoot some on-ride footage? Pretty please?

EDIT: I even used the pink heart smiley that no one ever uses because it looks gay. (No offense to gay people.)

Good choice of colors on the tracks. Most people would just make everything brown.

Hello! We are one week into our season and the crowds have been excellent! They have far surpassed our initial expectations.

This is a good crowd for a Monday in May!


I cannot release details, but this area will change drastically in the future.


Parachute Falls is still the tallest ride in the park.


During the lunchtime hour the line for Derecho and the other rides get shorter... that's when I ride!

See. I've seen all that already, they're pretty much no different to other screens already shown.

Why not just wait for a while before posting another update? Yeah it's great that they are coming thick and fast when it's new stuff, and don't get me wrong I love the park, but it just seems pointless showing something we've already seen.

^ I do it so that when something new does come along, it's alot more noticeable. That adds to the realism as well, if I only posted when something new came along, it wouldn't feel like a complete season. When the park is small, it's hard to get a wide variety of "random shots" for an update, but as the park grows that will get easier.

^Yeah thats what I meant, I didnt mean new for the season I meant new shots of the park.

I stayed late tonight to get some pictures of Derecho at night. It's quite a sight to see!

The sun sets over Charleston Gardens Amusement Park.


As nighttime sets in, Derecho is illuminated beautifully.


Most of the ride can be seen thanks to the lighting.

Oh wow. Those screens are goregeous. I mean, every little detail is put into work, and it all flows flawlessly. Congratulations, Michael. You really have impressed me this time.

I enjoy all the screens and updates you post. The stories you create around the park are very cool and entertaining.

The station doesn't seem as detailed as the other buildings in your park but Derecho looks great at night!
