I'd say that I'd agree with most of the stuff on here.
IMHO, though, I think that kids are ready to watch movies with "questionable" content when they make that move themselves. When your child finds Family Guy funnier than Spongebob, they're ready. When they can name all of the South Park characters off the top of their head (guilty...), they're ready. My mom let me watch the South Park Movie when I was 10. Not long after that, I started watching The Simpsons, Family Guy, etc.
And you really do learn more about life in jr. high/high school than you do at home. Most sexually explicit things (blowjobs, 69 position, etc.) I learned in jr. high (around 2002). I'm not saying that life is all about sex, but I doubt anyone here would've gotten the information from their parents. My parents did teach me though, that it's okay to have sex when you're young:
"Just remember to wear a condom, and if you get her pregnant, it's your problem." -

my parents gave me the birds and the bees speech at a pretty young age. i think i was eight or nine, which might have been a little young to understand, but okay. both of my parents weren't raised in a perfect house, so they wanted me to understand things before i started to hear it somewhere else. basically, i agree with everyone who said it varies from child to child. -

Whoever voted 0-18 months...
I started watching these sorts of movies at age 12 I'd say. So I voted 13-14. That's when kids are usually able to handle the epicne- I mean graphicness of such a movie.

I vote 11-12 years; anytime after that, chances are, they've already watched some of these movies with their friends. I might go even younger than that honestly depending on the kid. Its better for them to learn about the things in these movies from you than from their friends. I know by the time I was thirteen, my parents would let me watch movies with nude (not like hardcore porn) scenes, sometimes with them (i think that was a resonable age). I guess it just depends on the kid and how he/she takes what he/she heard or saw in the movie, and i think it would be better for your child to watch it with you at a fairly early age.
