The only reason I have not started on the airport is that I have not found the right insperation for one. I like modern architecture and just can't seem to find anything on the web that has sparked ideas. The other issue is finding somethign that I can see doing in RCT while still being unique.
So, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks

San Jose has a pretty neat new terminal. I'm also a huge fan of Madrid's T4, Barcelona's T1 and Detroit's McNamara terminal. Any of those would be sweet in RCT, perhaps a little difficult, but really cool nonetheless. -

Are you going for a big international style airport or just more of a regional airport just to serve the park? -

I'll look into those. ThanksAre you going for a big international style airport or just more of a regional airport just to serve the park?
Sort of in between. It won't have a bunch of terminals but it will span all three maps -

DFW airport. Maybe not the most aesthetically intricate or graceful, but the glass terminals and roofing are kinda nifty imo, as well as the way the train is incorporated into the structure.

hope this helps. -

lmao! This is a first for me. I have no map to work on!
So on a 24 map project you don't have anything to build? I know something that you could build upon
Anyway, I'm gonna jump on the airport bandwagon too..
As for inspiration;

You could always base it off my house. Isnt it great?
Here are some other things you might be interested in Here and here
The biggest things is to make sure you have the lowest level on the boarding side of the airport reserved for maintence vehicles and stuff, if that makes sense. -

Work is ever so slowly starting to pick back up on the project and although none of the work has been mine, progress is being made. NWA has it's second coaster from CP6 and we should see the other layouts soon. HED is starting to see one of the major attractions being added by Kumba and early indications look outstanding. The sad news though is that HOA has taken a significant step backwards as it looks like some initial plans will need to be removed and replaced with something else. This delay will push the opening date to sometime in 2011.
As for when I plan to get back to building, although this break has been a bit longer then most, the rct blood is starting to flow once again and I hope to get back into building in a couple weeks.

Interesting indeed although the curved aspect of it makes it very difficult to recreate in RCT. That said, I found a link to some insperationSince the airport thing hasn't been posted yet and i might be a bit late.. But How about the number 1 airport in the world voted by users!!

Work is really starting to take hold once again as both HNWA and HOA are starting to see some real progress since the last update. HNWA has seen the most significant updates these past few days as the park continues to progress through the planning stages. In particular, the major coaster count has increased from 6 to 8 coasters with perhaps a couple smaller ones added later. Along with the change in coaster lineup, the park's layout has been totally revised in a way that will really make the park more enjoyable for our guests.
As for HOA, it is with a guest builder getting some support work finished that will really add to the coasters overall feel. Once complete, work will continue on the back stage area of the Orca stadium.
Hopefully, the next update will include a screenshot however for now, the work site is pretty sloppy and really does not lend itself to a nice picture.

A suggestion for the airport: Kansai International Airport
Oh, and James, we need to talk on Aim soon again. Although I have been busy with other stuff, there is a lot of progress on Atlantis Front of the hotel is almost up, should be done in 2 weeks completely, and then the back of the hotel (easier stuff) starts and that should be finished within a month to maximum two months. -

Construction has really pick up lately as the RCT juices are starting to flow once again. The focus these past couple weeks has been on HNWA as one of the areas is starting to take shape. The below screenshot is take from the Leavenworth area of the park wich will feater of one the eight coasters along with some great shops, dinning and a few flats. A very special THANKS goes to posix for some great insight and knowledge of the area I was going for as Leavenworth Washington is a small town located in the Cascade Mountains which is also known as "Washington's Bavarian Village". This also marks my first attempt at any significant themeing of a particular country I know nothing about and only hope I've used posix adive wisely.
In the below SS, you will find one of the end points for the parks trolly, the yet to be named enterprize and dodgem attractions along with a number of various shops.
In other news, the other parks are in very capable hands and I look forward to seeing how they are shaping up.
