(Archive) Advertising District / Project: Aries

I hope I still be around the next 4 years ... Can't wait to see the uber 1000x1000 aerial screen of this project... 

It would be cool to make it into an animated gif with 64.000 x 64.000 pixels, to make a total animated .gif image of 4 Gigapixel  

What would the filesize be ?

As for the main aerial, I do have a zoomed in version of the aerial as it is right now, however until HOA is relesed, I can't show it. You can actually see how the roads, coastline and even the monorail tracks line up! It is rather cool if I do say so myself

Ah well, I was just fantasizing about this project I think you actually finish it, maybe by outsourcing maps to others  

Project Status #49 - 5/23/10

Now that HPTR has been released and since HOA is still out of my hands, work started on a new map. As you will notice the old Convention Center location has been changed to a new concept which should have details released in the next week or two. This new map will be exciting for me as I get to try something new.

In other news, I've started to replace the missing overview maps. If all goes well, I plan to update the main aerial with at least 2 new maps each week.

This is just awesome... My favorite project on here for sure. Love those aerials.

Aerial looking better, now that more completed maps are being added. Can't wait to see the Downtown Disney/CityWalk-esque map. If you don't want people knowing just yet, I can remove the details.

i'm kind of wondering on the process for the american adventures park since you showed a few screens from that map and we haven't seen anything from it since 6months or longer...

Why did you quote his post, and then mention you were going to build track designs for him, when I see no mention of him needing track designs? I'm just curious cause it makes no sense to me.

Dark_Horse - No worries. I think it's known about what the map is, just not the details of it yet.

BelgianGuy - The original HAA map was lost in the hard drive problems however I was planning on redoing it anyways as I was not happy with it.

GigaG - I have a great track designer in CP6 for all my track designs. I may have a few others in the future but the list is very limited. As for the logo, no thanks.

And, D_H...best thing to do instead of apologizing for hijacking threads is to simply not do it in the first place.

Seriously, In:Cities? You aren't helping the situation at all. You're just feeding my fire. I've never meant to cause trouble, I'm just giving my opinion. And I've done this in a rational way for the most part. The fact is you all keep making me look like the troublemaker, when in all seriousness, some of you are acting as immature as me.


To lighten things up, the whole project looks like it is coming together very nicely.
