How accurate are you going with this? The tops of Vekoma's supports are different from what you have. It's not a huge deal, but it's easy to fix and imo would add a bit more detail.

Today was a great RCT day as progress is really on a roll. We are happy to announce that the 6th coaster "Rip Tide" is in place and complete! Thanks to 5Dave, nin and CP6 for your advise during the construction. I hope to show some SS's in the next update.

In addition, rework on some of the early areas are coming along nicely including the station for Megalodon! Although nothing over the top, I am very happy with the end result. Below you see the exit along with the on-ride photo booth.

In other news, progress on the park will be spotty over the next few weeks as I will be in the process of moving so RCT time may be limited. All that said, I'm still looking for a 4-2-10 release date.

I like the use of the diagonal roof. It makes it feel different from your normal stuff, but in a good way. I also like the photo booth placement.
  • BelgianGuy%s's Photo
Very nice screen but the bushs under the coaster rail look a bit akward to me because its the only foliage in that area, I suggest delete then or maybe add some more in that spot and not all of the same type
  • Liampie%s's Photo
This is getting better and better! Anticipation +1

    Two notes:
    - There is one brick column in the station and many concrete ones. The brick column looks out of place!
    - I think the photobooth may get overlooked by a lot of people when exiting the station. The photobooth looks great there btw.

Yeah that station is pretty awesome. It seems absolutely massive, but it works.
  • SSSammy%s's Photo
best screen from you in a long long time
  • posix%s's Photo
loving the photo shops placement under the stairs.
  • Casimir%s's Photo
I think what astonishes me the most is that I've not seen that much 1/4 work from you until today. And what I see HERE is worth the waiting. Top notch.
  • Dark_Horse%s's Photo
For aesthetics, the photo shop is in a pleasant location, but functionally I can see many people overlooking it. My only suggestions are to fix that wood deco support, and maybe add another one on the corner.

robbie92 - Thanks. Glad you liked it

BelgianGuy - I'll take a look at it.

Liampie - The brink column is being used on the other side but it does look out of place here. I'll see what I can do. Thanks

Louis! - lol, It is smaller than the previous version though.

    SSSammy - Thanks

posix - I thought so also. Thanks

Casimir - Like I said before. I needed to make sure I had the objects to finishe the map. Now that I think I'm in good shape (based on my calculations, I have around 50,000 left I can go back and start doing some additional 1/4 tile work. Glad you liked it though

Dark_Horse - I think it will be fine as that faces the entrance plaza and in order to get to the coaster, they walk right towards it. Granted, Peeps have no clue but it would in real life. Thanks everyone!

Hi, if you're still searching for someone who would like to support the Invertigo for you, I would be very happy to do it for you, just let me know...
  • RCTNW%s's Photo
^ Thanks for the offer however I was able to get it finished yesterday and is now complete.

Thanks again though for the offer
  • Dark_Horse%s's Photo
Lol. The peeps in the game are pretty much idiots. I get where you pass in the entrance plaza to get to the coaster, but in real life, I'm gonna be too excited (or too pissed off at the wait time) to remember where the photo shop when I first passed it. For some reason, I see the exit stairs making more of a -< shape (if you understand what I'm trying to get at).
  • Austin55%s's Photo
Yeah-I was thinking if you used the ropes to force the peeps to walk by the photospot so that there becomes a huge crowd of people waiting for there pictures while the staff nervously shuffle through the diplays trying to get the ones of the people they see infront of them.
  • RCTNW%s's Photo
Sorry guys - Based on what is in this general area, there is no other place where I would want to place this so it is going to stay were it is. Thanks though for the feedback

Just have the ride-op say: "Dont forget to pick-up your on-ride photos at the Kiosk located directly under the station, thank you." Problem solved.

    Project Status #42 - 1/24/10

Not much progress this week as time has been a bit limited. I've also hit a small block with the map so I think I'll move on to one of the other maps for a couple of weeks. That said, here is a look at the 6th coaster in the park. Rip Tide will offer our guests an exciting ride overlooking the bay.
