^ Once HOA and the convention center are finished, I will zoom in on that corner. Right now, I don't want to reveal HOA too much, sorry -

erm, if your doing it in these cells, wont everything seem very square?
like youve confined everything to its own zone?
might you expand maybe some areas into others, to make it seem less angular?
lots of questions, but im enjoyng this nonetheless -

everytime i see the uberaerial i'm like "....how??!" as in ... how is it possible to progress such a gigantic project so steadily and actually making believe that you're well capable of finishing it. it's totally against the mainstream trend of people never able to finish full blown solos anymore. -

Nice design CP6! And love the overview James, seems something out of Sim City (which is a good thing btw )
@posix, I think James made a very wise decision to break up this project into several smaller maps.. This way he doesn't have to deal with the sprite limit, and can switch between different types of maps and doesn't get bored.. Also, I can imagine it would be a great motivation to see that aerial every time once you finish something, and that it has the looks of something that can very well exist in real life..

SSSammy - I'm trying to be mindful of that fact when I build. I try not to use the entire pa or even the cent of the map when possible so that it helps breat up the squares. I also try to have the roads move from one side to the others. That said, there will be one area spanding 3 squares once I get to it late next year. Keep the questions coming though. Thanks
posix - I sometimes ask myself the same very question! Thanks
SF - It deos help with the motivation. I'm excited about finishing off this lower corner of the project so I can offer a zoomed in shot. It really is my motivation right now.
JDP - I was concerned when I made Parkmaker that my motivation would suffer becuase of the unofficial "expectations" that come with it. I can't imagine what it would be like if there was another level. Thanks though.
Mini-update.
After looking over the new coaster for the past couple of days, work started on the support work for it. This one is perhaps the toughest for me to support and is taking longer than expected however after a few hours of build time yesterday, the station, and most of the tunnel / support work is now in place. I for one am very happy to see progress being made on HOA as the motivation for it has started back up again!
Thanks everyone! -

^Yeah. Most of the parkmakers here get the title parkmaker, and then don't release shit. Ever.

Sorry nin, I need to update the first post as that is the old 20 map configuration. This is the current 25 map version. -

Project Status #32 - 12/01/09
The last couple of days has been a real blast for me as it's been awhile since I worked on HOA and I must say, I'm very happy with the newest addition. CP6 gave me a great coaster that just flows from area to area. Now I know some of you are thinking that I have a thing for Blue however it's just a coincidence that the two recent updates on both this and the resort maps are heavy in blue and white however I really like the look of this one and considering it's in an ocean park, I think it works fine.
Now that the coaster is fully supported and the station is in place, work will focus back on the resort map so that it can be released this weekend.

That has got to be one of your best and most inspirational screens ever. It's absolutely fantastic. -

I agree with nin. It is looking great, James (and CedarPoint6). I was a little uncertain at first about the wood siding on the raised land, but I think it might be growing on me. Have you tried experimenting with other alternatives at all? Oh, and the inline over the track split is just unbelievable. -

nin - Thanks and I hope it does inspre others.
Alpengeistfan1 - I think it works out well as a great photo op. Thanks
Steve - That means alot coming from you as I value your opinion greatly. If you notice on the original coaster layout, the inline twist went directly over the station and would have caused a problenm with the supports. Based on this , I slid the station back a bit which allowed room for the supports. Between this and the pretzel loop, this was one of the more challenging coasters to support. As for the wood sides, I really like the look as I think it works in this setting. That said, I did not try other options, however I may take a look at using deco blocks at a later date. Right now, I'm working on the shark area which is coming along nicely and I want to stay on this roll with HOA while I have the insperation.
Thanks everyone -

God damn did you make that coaster look good. Well done man. Only thing is you didn't color that other support on the other side blue (on the heartline). Just pointing it out whether it was intentional or not.
