I think you meant you forgot about Atlantic City. :iamwithstupid: jk James.

Having been, I don't think any of the AC hotels are known for their beauty... Mostly the crime, prostitution, and drugs.

I don't really know of any specific hotel to recreate, but I would love to see some kind of resort on a mountain. It doesn't really look like you have much land variation yet, so I think a mountain resort would look pretty cool.

Again here thinking of Frank Lloyd Wright, maybe take some inspiration for a resort from his "Falling waters" house

Or at least take a good look of how he used the landscaping to his advantage in buildings this house

    here for some pictures

Grand Floridian at Disney World - Again, I believe Highball has already done this one to the point of perfection.

Nope, I've done the Disneyland Hotel (Paris version) which is what you're thinking of. It's heavily based on the style of the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego (which is what the Grand Floridian is practically copied from). Come to think of it, I think that style of hotel would be a pretty good fit for this resort.

    And the Burj Al Arab:

See, because it both starts with Burj does not mean it is the same building, Burj actually means Tower in the local language there. That said, both are good and awesome, I tried both to build, but I failed :(

About the Grand Floridian, wait untill the official pics from DFS, I already showed testscreens of it in the Dump Place ... I would be dissapointed if everybody starts to do that.

About the Atlantis thing, Nope I didn't finished it James ... I took a break from february - may from the game, that was before. Well, I already posted it before in this thread as a suggestion, I would love to try it again, and after reading my topic of Atlantis, it seems that  you like that hotel, maybe we could try to build it together? It would be a big honour to work with you :) Your gigantic scale of building and my (over) detailing good be a good mix.

Well anyways, I will shut up and leave you decide RCTNW :p

^^ hmmm, that actually looks like something that i might want to try building at some point:]
  • BelgianGuy%s's Photo
I say grand Hyatt because it looks awesome and fits the project the best
  • Cena%s's Photo
Guys. Shut up about choosing one of those two.

I want to say this to RCTNW, Build both of them (LDW's and Levis' his one). That would be epic.
  • SGT BLOOPER%s's Photo
I think it would be cool to build a hotel that's a combination of the above two. FUSION!!!!!!

But it would be kind of hard to recreate the grand hyatt....with those curvy walls and all....

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and I'm looking to see what my options are. Feel free to continue to make suggestions if there are others.

    Project Status #27 - 10/24/09

Although not much progressed this past week due to me being under the weather and not feeling well, work did progress on one of the new maps along with some general marking out for a couple ofther maps

Since not much of an update this week, I figured I would post a complete and current aerial of the project. In this aerial, you can make out the concept for the newest map. I still have to clean up the coastlines to line up correctly however it's starting to take shape.
