As promised, here is the final update to the HAA map for awhile. As you can see, it's heavily inspired by the main street staion at the various Disney Resorts.

Entrance looks good, but I don't really like those roofs.

If you're going to be away for a while, you could send the project to some guest builders. You could also have someone else finish designing the website or something.

    Very Disney-like. Looking good, NW!

That station is pretty awesome, James. The only thing I don't really like is the 2x1 tower on top. I'd suggest either thickening it a bit, or raising the front a bit.

I really like this screen, but I support Dark_Horse's statement, the 2x1 tower looks bad...

Are you going to cover up the grass on the left and right with anything?
  • Todd Lee%s's Photo
RCTNW doesn't generally post screens that he has future plans to change. ie, adding things to grass areas. Open grass areas are somewhat of a trademark in his parks/resorts. That's one of the things that I enjoy most about his work.
  • RCTNW%s's Photo
Alpengeistfan1, Guy Smiley is correct as I do enjoy having grass areas in variuos parts of the park and the two areas you mentioned are finished.

    Thanks

I don't get it. I'm liking the station more and more everytime I look at it. Very welcoming to a park... keep up the good work! (LOL, open grass is "beautiful" now... :p )

I wish we could see it from the front, because the back is doing nothing for me.
  • RCTNW%s's Photo
^ I'll see what I can do however the front landscaping is not the final version.

I hate to be a downer, but as far as I'm concerned its good but not great. The screen is very atmospheric and the landscaping and planning are fantastic, but i have a few issues with the station building- too many gables and an oversimplified, repetitive motif. Its easy on the eyes, but almost so easy that it loses any value as an icon of the sort main street stations usually are intended to be- if that makes sense?

That's exactly like my own thoughts.

WOW I just joined this forum and I have to say you're just incredible, I actually like the fact that the last screen is simple and clean, it doesn't look forced to me

great work and have fun finishing this project

P.S if you need any layouts for coasters I'm always keen to help you out ;)

    Welcome to the forum BelgianGuy

RCTNW i've been a big fan of your crisp clean style for a while now. While its not the best screen of yours i've seen it gets across what it intends to and i can imagine it existing in the real world :)

    Keep it up

Welcome to RCTNW Designs! After many weeks of trying out different layouts along with my limited ability to create decent graphics, RCTNW Designs is open once again. Although not complete, most of the site is up and running. Over the next few weeks, more parks will be updated. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy your visit.

For those that have been around awhile, you will notice a strong resemblance to the old RCT Masters site which I helped create with Kai. I loved the layout so much, I've used the same concept for mine.
