i think the reason why some don't like the layout is because it strictly pleases realism and not rct game harmonics. like, i would assume the diagonal curve before the dive loop turns many people off because they don't interpret it like this:
and i think that's what cp6 was intending to do? (besides changing direction because you can't build a half loop from diagonal track)
what i like best about the layout is the placement of the cobra roll. allows for great theming possibilities and reminds me of moonlight magic, somehow. -

The layout's really good. Brian showed me a screen from when it was in MNE2, and with landscaping and some supports, it's a beautiful coaster. That being said, I also love when a coaster uses diagonals, so that could affect my choice.
James, I personally liked the coaster better in its original colors though... -

^ The colors on the MNE map served a specfic purpose on that map and although these may not be the final colors, I know they won't be blue and yellow. Sorry -

Not for me. I always build my immelmann's & dive loop like that.
Its the whole layout that bugs me, not just the dive loop. I think the only I like is the pre-lift. -

Well, I have good news and bad news. First, the bad news. The Entrance/Parking map did not get finished this weekend. The good news is that work on HAA has started to take shape as the first landmark is in place. As part of the San Francisco area, the golden gate bridge spans the water way as part of the ferry boat landings. Below you see one of the towers for the bridge.
In addition to the Bridge, work at the entrace to main street is well on it's way. Perhaps the next update will feature the Main Street Station.

When I saw "Update 14: Golden Gate Bridge" under my subscriptions, I just fell over. The Golden Gate Bridge! Just, wow.

I know you're a stickler for details like I am. The GGB is incorrect in your version.... One too many holes. Here is a closeup pic I took so you can see the detail too.

Brilliant, James. I suppose you don't have toons supports on this map so you can get rid of the coaster track? -

God dammit. There goes my plans out the window Looks nice but yeh what a way to spoil my park -

Because orange is closer to the real color. The paint used for the bridge was orange vermilion (International Orange). I thought you would know that Mr. Stickler for Details.

Thanks Mike. Whats bad on my part is I studied some photos prior to building it and must have mis-counted. Thanks and it's been fixedBrilliant, James. I suppose you don't have toons supports on this map so you can get rid of the coaster track?
I do have the supports but they are too steep. I also tried the single rail inverted track but they were too shallow. This is the best option there is although I'm always open to ideas.
Thanks -

I think the track looks great on there. I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. -

Project Status #15 - 3/26/09
Well, I have good news and bad news once again. First, the bad news. Progress on the project will be slowing down significantly as my free time to work on the project will once again be limited. As some of you may know, I do a significant amount of camping during the spring and summer months and this year will be no different. I will be posting an update this weekend however it will most likely be the last one for a number of weeks. Because of this, I will be pushing out all the dates however I do hope to have a release very soon. The good news is that this break usually brings a new rejuvenation to the project when time becomes available so although the project may be slowing, it’s still moving ahead.

Interesting layout there. I've never seen a B&M Floorless coaster without a vertical loop. Well done.
