that's very likeable
agreed, though the waterfall and tunnel are almost so picturesque as to look forced. -

I've been trying to round out some of the landscaping around the tunnel, but it's proving difficult. It's rather square right now, which I see as the problem with it. -

It looks really good. But I think you should give the pine trees their original colors. -

The only reason the landscaping looks square is that you have some brown dirt and some grey rock. Make them all one or the other on that little waterfall bit and it will look better.
I like that tree colour.
I also like the black. Every wooden coaster is brown these days.
I like it a lot. Looks like a fun section of the ride. -

The tree color will stay, I like it best.. And the coaster colors will stay as well. Turtle nailed it, i'm steering away from the same old colors for a woodie, black is the new brown!
With the tunnel, I don't like the right side, it looks too geometrical, I don't like the angles on it. That I'm going to change. I'll tweak the land types a bit, but there will still be a mix of rock and dirt, just less rock. -

Here's a small update, and I've named the park "Mineral Basin".Edited by Guy Smiley, 28 May 2009 - 11:57 AM.

That's looking pretty good. The archy is nice, though maybe a little jumbled from this angle. And that coaster is reminding me a bit of The Beast. And is that a split in the track, or just an optical effect?
Also, I'm pretty sure the reason new wooden coasters are all brown now is because the paint used to be necessary to protect the structure before they started treating wood. And so now it's just cheaper to leave it unpainted. Plus, it places more emphasis on the wooden aspect. That's my theory at least. Anyways, I have a similar looking coaster in my park. -

It's a split in the track. As for coaster colors, I was referring to rct woodies always being brown these days. (and I'm guessing turtle meant the same thing) -

^ Yeah, I know that, I was just talking about why it might be that way in reality too, since people are usually going to base their designs on real coasters. -

I don't like the texture used under the top spin, its just too .. smooth?
The rest is very nice, I like the wooden platforms scattered about. -

Very nice Todd! No complaints from me at all. How far along would you say you are?
