^ hate that crap, you gotta continuously do it or else when it stops, you'll break your fuckin back.

You break your back anyway because the shovels are so short...

Too bad there ain't snow here... I guess that if I want a white and snowy christmas I have to celebrate it when it's snowing.

it started snowing again early this morning. it's really light, though.

Let's see. I'm in Iowa City with sibs and pop and only been here 3 days.

Previous to Arrival - ~3 inches of snow
    Day 1 - Slight snowfall.
Day 2 - Sleet during the evening hours.
    Day 3 - 3-4 inches of snow.

So, with that, there's about 7 or so inches on the ground and the top 3 inches are on top of a medium layer of ice which means great sledding action. So far, my farthest run has been 300 yards on the innertube going down the street (I'd try a hill, but since the innertube 'floats' on top of the snow/ice, it's harder to steer. I used the street cause I use the snow banks as bumpers). I think I got to about 25 mph at my best. Crazy when you have gusts of 30 mph giving you both a tailwind and crosswind. I'll get a pic up later tonight.

Oh, gonna get some more snow tomorrow, then on the 23rd-24th, my family and I are gonna go up the Wisconsin Dells and stay a night at the Kalahari Resort.
    Here's the resort website: Resort
    Here's the waterpark website: Waterpark
Here's the indoor park website: Indoor

I believe that would be considered 'sweet', no?

Anywho, have fun folks, I gotta go back to family dueling on the Wii!

entire weekend of nonstop snowfall. ugh.

took me an hour and half to get to work tonight (on a normal day, it takes 10 minutes or less).

We got hit with another 3-4 inches last night. Good news is that we should warm up a bit to around 34 deg's.

I think the guys here that are starting/already do hate snow should get some shovels and friends and make a massive snow fort with all that snow.
And if you don't have enough snow for a fort, then you shouldn't be complaining cause it ain't that bad.

I made a snow igloo when I first moved to Indiana. They said, "Oh, we don't get much snow." That winter (of '04, I believe) we got over two feet of snow in a matter of hours, which broke the previous record (of two feet, I believe).

I wish it would snow like that again... :'(

MORE fucking snow today. Roads were, as my hero the AVGN would put it, fucking horrible. Luckily I had dental surgery on Thursday so I have doctors orders not to shovel. Tomorrow I'll probably have to though.

Honestly, wtFF is global warming when you want it?

the only two times it has snowed here in my lifetime was 89 and 95/96. snows cool and all but its a pain in the ass to drive in. people here cant drive as it is so snow would just make driving on our roads a biohazard.

We have plenty of snow here... Probably 6" but we're getting more... And it's bitter cold. Sub-Zero definitely, the snow is sparkling and it's beautiful.

I miss driving in the snow... Once you know how your car handles in it, you're fine. I once passed a woman going sideways in my truck. I miss that truck, come to think of it.

But yeah. I hate people that don't know how to drive in shitty weather. Everyone needs to spend a half hour in an empty parking lot figuring out what their car does in a slide. Plus it's fun as shit.

Nah, scratch that, MA. America needs to up it's auto-learning/skilling to something along the lines of Germany. Man, they're good.

More ice for me today, along with a ton of freezing rain.

And for the record, I hate holiday shopping. You go to the store and you have to park in the back because there are no spaces in the front. Then you have to fight crowds of dumb people who stand in the middle of the aisle and stare at the shelf. After about an hour, you finally have the eleven things that you came for, and then you have to wait for another hour in long lines behind people who have cartfuls of crap. After you finally pay for your stuff, you have to freeze your nads off while loading up your car. We didn't have sub-zero temperatures yesterday, but a whopping 3 degrees F is pretty damn cold for me.

    EDIT: 3 degrees F is like, -16 degrees C, which is sub-zero. ;)

MA: lol that's true. Snow looks nice, and icy roads are fun. But I still think it has more disadvantages than advantages...

    Rhynos: lol true

FM: Oh, you hate Christmas shopping. I went about 2 weeks ago, and it wasn't HORRIBLY busy, in a town of 100,000 or so people (it's the biggest congregation of people with a half hour though so people calls it "The City") near where I live. Now it's fucking jammed though. You should go a little earlier, maybe. Procrastination is only good most of the time.

Anyways, more snow today, but not bad, not a storm or anything.

You forgot to mention the old lady ahead of your whipping out the CHECK BOOK, and insisting on filling out her check register before getting out of the way..
