3 inches here.
might have a snow day tomorrow if it stays about 10 degrees like it is now, but i very highly doubt it. -

It's supposed to be blizzard conditions up here for the next 3 days. 50 MPH winds and a foot of snow. Possible snow day tomorrow?

Yeah dude, it's crazy. It started snowing last night while me and some friends were walking around town and we were like "...weird," and kept on walking. Within half an hour there was an inch on the ground and we stayed out till 2 am throwing snowballs at each other and other things and sledding down hills. Fun stuff! -

5 inches in the KC metro, and still going.
I have a question for all of you though. How is sledding so universally appealing? There are very few people who don't like to sled, every kid seems to love it. Why do you think this is? -

Nice to see a good amount in Georgia but with the sleet freezing it all over there's no point to it. -

Nothing substantial here in Raleigh yet, but it's snowed all around us. Oh well I suppose we've already gotten our fair share for this season. Still a chance the roads could ice over which would be a mess. -

Yeah, and because of that, you are[or should be] 10x more prepared to handle snow. When our Southern states get nailed with a 6 inch storm and are only prepared for 6 inches throughout the entire winter, you can imagine that things aren't going to go very well.
Anyway... I'm supposed to get nailed later on today, but I can't be bothered to listen to the ever changing forecasts about how much. A lot. -

We've finally come out of a two-month period of heavy snowfall and -8 C or colder temperatures. But now it gets worse. The temperature varies around the freezing point so the result is layers upon layers of snow slush/ice/snow slush/ice slush/snow/ice/ice and so on. Yesterday I spent an hour and a half on maiming the extremely slippery coating with a large hammer, managed to get rid of most of it along our portion of the street. It was fun and felt good, kinda like I imagine Harry Potter must have felt when he killed Voldemort. -

Our country can't handle snow as well we use f*^king salt to melt the snow and ice but we keep running out every time it snows :S
I've heard in Russia a lot of truck drivers start at 5am to make the roads clear and they laugh at us and other west-european countries, (wich I agree with xd). -

Got a few inches today, and is supposed to snow more tonight. I really hope to get out of exams tomorrow, but I'm not too optimistic. -
