MA cheap wine is good people just assume expensive is better. For example i work in a cocktail bar and even the spokes woman for Veuve Clique recommended cheap sparkling wine rather than their expensive champagne

Clearly RRP you've never had MD 20/20...

I probably wouldn't drink wine at all if I werent getting ti for free.

A sign that MA truely is perpetually drunk.

I doubt that anyone in this forum has had homemade blueberry wine. That stuff is awesome.

    Since I'm a minor, I don't drink.

I enjoy Guiness for beer, but prefer rum and whisky.

The above statement was not written by me.

Maybe I just haven't acquired the taste yet, but I hate wine. I literally can't swallow it. I don't even drink the blood at mass.

Impressive bit of doublethink there, Kevin.

Since this has turned into the alcohol preference thread:

Vodka and whiskey for me. Mostly because you can mix them to dilute the taste and still have an effect. And Jack Daniels + Dr. Pepper is fucking delicious.

Haven't had much experience with beer other than cheap American shit. Tastes like piss.

I personally think this should be renamed the alcohol appreciation thread.Id recommend everyone to try sailor jerrys or goslings black seal rum with ginger beer and plenty of fresh lime

You guys, America actually became [i]the[\i] place for small breweries! I love Anchor Brewery's Liberty Ale. Not really that into beer though. Been drinking a lot of red wine as of lately, it's quite enlightening to try different bottles, different grapes, different prices, etc.
Yesterday I was drinking 'raket', Bacardi Razz and orange soda haha. It tastes like the popular ice-popsicle.

Yes, American microbrews are pretty damn good. The problem is that there's always 3-4 awful ones to every good one.

RRP for the win. Rum and ginger ale/ ginger beer is fucking delicious. Rum and orange juice is still my favouite... Gives it a nice vanilla flavour.

Changed the topic title for all of you drunkards out there. ;)

And I don't really drink that much, but eh, you kids have fun.

Cant say ive ever tried it with OJ,apparently rum and grapefruit juice is nice although i dont think anyone in their right mind would drink squeezed grapefruit juice.

Had my first Jager Bomb (Jagermeister + Red Bull) the other day. Holy crap, those things are weird. On one side, you start to feel energetic, but on the other end you start feeling a little woozy after three or four. I think I'll stick to Jack & Coke, wine, and beer.

And MA, I don't think it's an aquired taste. Budweiser, Busch, Miller, etc. taste like crap. Sam Adams tastes good. It's that simple. And yes, I do like (white) wine and other things, too. I only drink on occasion, though (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.), or if it's offered.

fullmetal, you need an irish car-bomb =)

    -glass of Guinness
    -half a shot of Jameson
-then just before drinking, quickly fill the rest of the shot glass with Baileys Irish cream, drop it in the Guinness, commence chugging.

    creamy finish is creamy ^_^

I've had homemade blackberry wine. It was pretty nice.

I would say never mix energy drinks into your cocktails. That's a good way to get a heart attack if your cardiac system isn't top notch. So Jager Bomb... not cool. I would never do that. But also because Red Bull is disgusting.

For beer I've really enjoyed the Lost Abbey microbrews. One of my ex-TAs has been an excellent source for good microbrews, so I tried a few great kinds over the summer. I've been surprised at how flavorful some beers can be. Otherwise, I got a drink recipe book a while back and I've since been experimenting with mixed drinks. Given my somewhat limited selection of ingredients, so far my best results have probably been a Canadian blackberry fizz and various girly peach flavored drinks. Green apple schnapps and sprite also mix well. And I've liked most white wine I've had, but I don't have much experience with it. Some sort of Gewurztraminer is the best I've had thus far.
