It would suit the park well, though. It's a part of Oceania, which is pretty much considered a part of Asia, so I could see Busch adding in a bit of an Aussie flare to another park, in this case Asia, instead of creating an entirely different park just for the country of Australia. -

I think that Oceania could work, but it would be more Polynesian rather than Australian. Of course, China and Japan are in, but I'm planning on maybe doing some Southeast Asia, like Vietnam or Angkor. Russia is still a maybe for me, but I think it could be fun to do a horse coaster, i.e. Pony Express, in a Mongolia area. -

A Mongolia area with something to do with Ghengis Kahn would be nice
Interesting. Perhaps the Ghengis Kahn ride could be a B&M hypercoaster, to make it seem big and powerful. Plus, what about a Indonesian area? Something about Borneo would be cool... -

austrailia's culture is vastly different from most asian cultures. putting aussies in this park would really cause confusion among the guests since im guessing most people dont think austrailia=asia. when i think of asian cultures i tend to think of india, cambodia, china, japan, indonesia, saudia arabia, thailand, and turkey. russia is asian, but its culture in the more populated areas tends to lean more towards the european side.Let's get an Australia area going on in this. You could get a nice coral reef exploration ride in there, or an off-road jeep adventure in the Outback.
robbie, youre one of my favorite parkmakers on this site right now. you can really communicate a theme to the viewer and for me thats what counts the most. its interesting to see how your style has evolved since you started this topic, and i really think youre heading in the right direction. keep it up bro and im sure this park will be great. -

LOL. That makes it sound like Australia is asian.
Australia is part of Australasia and Oceania not Asia lol.
And when you said most people don't think. Most people know it isn't cos they aren't idiots you mean lol.
Oh and as for Russia it's actually part of 2 continents, so technically it's in Eurasia.
Oh and robbie when you said Polynesia and Oceania. Polynesia is part of Asia not Australasia and Oceania.
And nin, Oceania is not considered a part of Asia that's just as offensive as saying to the irish that they are part of the uk. Or let's put in your terms. That's like saying to a canadian they are part of the usa.Edited by JJ, 16 January 2009 - 02:01 AM.

If you're going to do Australia call it Indonesia because Australia is definitely not in Asia. -

Yeah please don't do Australia!
I think a Polynesian area like the one at Port Aventura would be really good. Eg http://i1.trekearth......B800x600].jpg -

When you refer to 'Asian' countries, you honestly, are looking at 'East Asia'. Not the Middle East (Syria, Turkey (part-European even), Saudi-Arabia...) not Australia, but part of Russia does definitely belong. I don't think Indonesia is even part of it.. -

Oceania isn't a continent...
Yet, now that I look at it, many of the islands are considered a part of Australia, so just forget about it. -

^Some schools teach continents differently.
For example, I was taught:
North America
South America
Europe
Africa
Asia
Australia
and that New Zealand and the rest of Oceana was contained in no continent.
However, I know someone who was taught both Americas were one continent, just called America.
I'm not quite sure if there is a definitive list of continents.
By the way Robbie, this whole project is looking magnificent.Edited by Dr_Dude, 19 January 2009 - 02:43 PM.

What the fuck. Of course there is a definitive list of continents. Why is education going down the pan? Especially world goegraphy? -
