    ^ yeah, that surprises me.
And reflex, I know..arguing sucks. What kind of idiot would waste their time arguing about anything in a forum like this. Fucking morons.

most of us are pretty young here.
i would never put £20 odd on something here.
NE is for enjoyment and improvment, not a fucking profit.

I wouldn't say that winning a contest that featured a monetary award would really be considered "turning a profit". It's more about adding an element to a contest/competition that would bring added enjoyment to some because the stakes would naturally be higher. As well as learning from one's 'mistakes' and improving if you're not one of the winners. Obviously, no one would force anyone to ante up and enter anything of this sort but, to some people it might be fun. Remember that different people frequent sites like this for different reasons. Much the same as people play RCT for different reasons.....but, let's not re visit that again.

Wouldn't NE technically need a gambling license then :p

You'd set it up as a "Hi Rollers Club" and the "buy in" would be a membership fee. The "club" would then be allowed to redistribute any monies brought in by membership fees in any fashion it so chooses.

I propose a "who can get a spotlight-winning park finished and submitted first" contest. winner gets a spotlight.
  • SSSammy%s's Photo
i think they should get a spot as a parkmaker aswell.
    that aught to entise them.
  • Goliath123%s's Photo
^ You become a parkmaker when you win spotlight anyway...

It wasn't really obvious at all you were being sarcastic so no reason to be a wise ass here

You know, people SHOULD pay to enter a contest, even if its just like a few bucks. I know I sure as hell would enjoy that added incentive to finish a project because there would be no way in hell I'd lose even a couple of dollars for a computer game, ahahaha.

The money thing would make it more interesting, but I wouldn't want it to keep people from entering, and I don't know that it would motivate me much more than usual. Rct would still be a waste of time for me, as far as making money is concerned. But at least it wouldn't seem that way, I guess.
