(Archive) Advertising District / Project X - Latest update: October 12th

Screen 1: It wasn't really bad at all. I like the building on the left. The building on the left isn't bad either. The only thing I don't like about it is the balcony. I can't see if it fits the rest of the city but if it doesn't (as you said) it's a wise choice to remove them.

Screen 2: Good you deleted that one. I don't really like it either.

Screen 3: Can't really say if it's good or bad that you deleted it. It's still to empty to decide. I agree with Turbin3 that the splash tiles have the wrong color. But that's the same story as the waterfall in your previous update.

Screen 4: I like it. Maybe you should try another color for the umbrella's to make it look less brown. Maybe yellow or gold.

All the screens are really nice. Pity you deleted most of it haha! But hopefully that means you replaced it all with better stuff right?

I agree, but that wasn't the problem. I wanted the city to be more Hungarian.

Thanks! I have to say this project isn't big at all... Actually I could finish them in a few weeks if it was for H2H, for example. The pressure is really low en therefore the project just goes very slow. I wanted to finish the whole project last september, which wasn't unrealistic.

I think the splash tiles on the rocks near the waterpark has the wrong colour.

I think using white(actually grey)-coloured white water looks better than ever here, but this hilled area is deleted from the map so I have to rethink this.

The rest looks fine.

I wanted them to look like this, and in that case I think this is the best solution. However, I want to make an object for this, compatible with already existing objects of course.

I hate to make objects with a specific purpose like this one, but I don't think I had a choice here. Any other already existing object would've made it (even more?) unrecognizeable.

Maybe these objects can be used as rocks too, but I still have to try that.

They are! And yes they do get wet sometimes, some idiot (probably drunk, there's a disco next to the pier ) threw one in the water, it's visible in the screen.

More screens of the hotel are next. It's progressing well and while there's a lot of old stuff like in Wunderland it's easy and fun to update. This might end up as my best realism work yet with the detail I've planned!

Park 1: Released!

Park 2: Very little progress. Still 90-95%...

Park 3: A LOT of progress.



This is the hotel again. The building between the jewelry-shop and the disco is a barbershop (sign and interiour to be added) and the stall in the middle of the path is the hotel-photographer's stand (to be improved, photographer to be added).

The foliage around the slides seem to be very dense but that's an optical illusion.

Park 4: I might drop this because it's a huge fail when you know how it's supposed to look. Otherwise it isn't too bad I think.

Thanks, it's great to hear this from you! I didn't know what a barberpole is, but I googled it. If I find a way to make it, I'll add it. Thanks for contributing ideas.

This is probably the last new screen you'll see before the release. Project X.3 is like 97% done, if I wanted to I could finish this thing tomorrow. However, I'd like someone to test it to give extensive criticism and possibly detect errors like missing objects. The tester has to be experienced and should have enough time to give criticism in about a week. Also, it would be handy if he's ever visited a Turkish All-in resort.

Who wants the job? It's free, I don't expect anything back apart from the criticism.

Great! Two potential testers already! More signups are welcome though.

Lovely stuff. I don't think the long grass suits the resort feel however. Nice little details and they seem effortless to you. Perhaps add planters to the custom trees on the walkway as it seems like they're growing on paving atm which is slightly unrealistic.

An average player wouldnt see the time take to some of the stuff. Great depth of work.
