Bays Of Tropica
As some of ya may know, this project has been going on for quite a while now, perhaps a year or two. Mainly because I've been elsewhere and out of the picture for a bit. I'm coming back to finish this park because i truly believe it has the makings of another spotlight if completed. Now that I've finished my exams, and my life is somewhat 'mellower' than it has been the past year, I'm coming back to finish what i started, hopefully in as short a time frame as possible. =]
For those who don't know about Bays Of Tropica, it is a massive 200x200 solo project involving many themed areas such as a viking kingdom, cadbury themed area, chemical warfare themed area and much more... The screenshots from these projects have probably died, along with a lot of the park which i have looked over the past week, to find it sub-standard to what is being produced today.
Therefore I've took special attention to detail whilst 'remixing' certain areas of the park, in particular the warfare themed area, and image of which is shown below:
Just to point out some of the details and 'changes' here, the rails on the start of the curvature of the drop have been lightened in tone to represent the loss of paint due to the high velocity of the coaster at this point. Also the chevron 'LEDs' embedded into the floor as you walk towards the drop, as well as the change in colour scheme to a black and toxic green colour scheme- doing away with the old 'grey and black'.
The image above shows one of the details added a while ago, the 'barrel game', where guests are given balls to throw into a grid of open barrels, with cheap and tacky prizes to be won. This was made using invisible pathing, fencing each individual piece off and placing pirate bins to replicate the barrels, then dropping the land and theming using zero-clearance.
And finally, I'd like to share an old screenshot of the first ride i built in the park, the 'Hydrogenus' log flume, one of the most realistic log flumes I've seen in RCT- which took about 2 months to build and theme.
I am aware the screens are small, but they do show quite a bit and the main reason of this is to show ya that this park is still 'going'. =]
Glad to be back. Comments welcome.

Looks good for small screens. I like the idea of LEDs in the walkway and the red track looks pretty good against black and a bit of green. Love the log flume, and when you say it took 2 months, do you mean two game months or two real months? -

I love the log flume and the barrel game but I am not so keen on the path texture for the first screenshot. Also I think you should have either all mesh or no mesh at it looks very odd. Looks great otherwise -

I am debating whether or not to get excited about this. But yes everything looks great.

I lol'd. Hard.Love the log flume, and when you say it took 2 months, do you mean two game months or two real months?
Great to see this (and you, as well) back, X250.
That diver is the sex, as is the log flume. Color scheme in the second pic is kinda iffy, but that's probably due to the lack of foliage in the screen.
Finish it.
