Ask the Experts / strange support removal problem

I'm having trouble removing supports in Loopy Landscapes using the chairlift trick. I've done it before, and it worked. Yet now whenever I try to do it nothing happens.




As an alternative I used the 'raise land/build/zero cleanance/lower land/restore clearance' method, which did work. However, as I used it over water it glitches really badly when a train goes over the track.

I'm stumped as to why the chairlift method no longer works. Hopefully it's something really simple I overlooked. Would appreciate some advice...

Don't use the station and make it as close to the track as possible. That'll make it work.
