Well. Nice to see we're keeping our goals nice and realistic.I would create, if possible, an 11-dimensional construct which dissects the simple isometric geometry of RCT into a set pattern of pocket dimensions, whose emergent behavior would progressively form all possible coaster paths, of which one's consciousness can only perceive the most perfect coaster based on their own personal perspective.
I would add then add some light theming.

A park inside of a human body. That is themed to the human body.Edited by Sulakke, 18 August 2008 - 05:08 AM.

I had a similar idea, an organic cell simulation with maybe a coaster in it. -

I'd also had the idea of a sort of cell-like park, and it's quite amazing how just about everybody seems to share one idea that nobody knows quite how to fully work out in RCT. Has anybody else noticed that every person who has this sort of idea has a very different perspective on it that is necessary to help form the concept into something relatable and practical? In the Dump Place, Liampie and I both showed screens of planets, but with very different perspectives on what to do with it. Liampie is good at realistic detail within the confines of the RCT scenery, and I'm good at exaggerating details to turn this sort of concept into something useful and relevant to the game. With somebody like Levis or Geewhzz who's a master at creating great ride experiences and hacking, you've got a three person team that's capable of creating just about anything they want in the game and making it believable. In order to get this sort of thing off the ground, we need to swallow some pride and get others to help out where it's necessary. Eventually, through osmosis of sorts, you'd be able to learn the traits of the other two and make this sort of work on your own. -

^Thanks for that, and I already told you I'd help you if you need it.
As for the game, I find it interesting how the game potentially has the possibility to do anything, but the limits are obviously in the code. I've always had more fun trying to maximize the game's limits rather than building parks. It makes me very sad to see how good this game could potentially be, but the only person who can possibly expand on it won't.
It's funny to see so many people here expanding the game to the limits in their free time, for no monetary compensation, whereas Chris most likely built the game for the payout. I wish we were all knowledgeable to create the same type of game from scratch. It could be very possible if we had all the right people, the only problem is the community is so dwindled. Although a totally fan-based driven game has been attempted before and is currently in progress I think. It'd be interesting to see the final results of a game created by the community as it would most likely be totally different than the scenario based driven game Chris has made. -

You're gonna need a HUGE map to do cedar point... The minimum I figure is two 214x214 maps.Cedar Point Then Build my own coasters and expand the park, way over the lake.

A recreation of Busch Gardens Europe on SEVEN maps:
A) The park SANS the new Sesame Street area
Water Country USA
C) Colonial Williamsburg
D) Kingsmill Resort & Spa
E) "Lost" Rides - A map featuring the roller coasters no longer there including both versions of Drachen Fire
F) A "bonus" fantasy section - A Norway-themed 'part' of BGE which doesn't actually exist, built in BG style!
I also wouldn't mind being able to make a 256x256 ultra-realistic park with fifteen roller coasters. -

Bump.
Here's my crazy idea I was planning for "FantastiCo's Intergalactic Resort":
Would have been four roads from each side of the map connecting to a space port in the center where parking and transportation would have been. From there, guests could choose from four mini parks; four differing stars or planets such as Europa, Alpha Centauri, Mars etc. Each planet would have some sort of gimmick, for example: Europa would been a sea base and Mars would be an ancient Martian civilization. Now keep in mind this is an Earth based park in which the space flight would simply be simulated through round-trip rocket coasters (Acting as monorails) going to each 'star' through space themed tunnels (Fantastical Realism: Something completely fantasy, made realistic). To help with the effect, the entire resort would be built on a number of man-made islands on the ocean. FantastiCo's unlimited budget due to the success of it's films, animation and theme parks would allow this. I also thought it would be a cool idea to know all 'stars' were on their own island.
Also, prior to entering the spaceport, vehicles would pass through either (depending on where they came from), the silver rocket resort, city/ shopping district as "capital city of the universe", convention center showing a medieval times like show only based on Star Wars, or a top-of-the-line resort: the U.S.S. Enterprise where guests could stay in quarters similar to those of Star Trek The Next Generation.
Now, this will never be built. Anyone curious about Project: Earth? Canceled too. Future plans? None. I can only hope peeps will stop with the repetitive "World of lands barely having anything to do with each other" though.Edited by FantastiCo, 25 November 2009 - 09:58 AM.

My Entry for the Pro Tour 2 which i could never make work was making RCT dance to music.
The basic idea was to have the park open paused on a set section of a map and have the viewer open a supplied MP3 of classical music in their Media Player. Then using a their key shortcuts unpause the game and music at the same time.
The area of the park would contain bits of track which allowed trains to jump out of tunnels for short sections and in time to the music. Using different coasters and different events that ran in parallel to the changing speed and tone of the music.
However the main caveat was that the viewer would have to keep the screen in the same place (unless a program was used to apply a sequence of key presses during the music).
Not to mention the timing to the second
One day maybe i will have time to revive this.
