Dec 7 2003, 05:59 AM was the last time I logged into this account and I am also assuming that this was probably around the time I got bored of RCT.
My reason for posting is that I have recently got back into RCT. Ive been playing since the 15th March 1999 when the original game was released. I played through RCT1, RCTAA, RCTLL and into RCT2. I never bought the add-ons for RCT2 as I think I got a little bored with it. I played it for a good while but my interest moved from RCT into No Limits & Cars (still being a coaster enthusiast however).
RCT3 was released and obviousl I bought it. Whilst not a bad game as such, it was just a bit rubbish compared to the isometric, bitmap based RCTs before it. It had lost all of what made the original games what they were. The original RCT games were, if you like, a sore thumb in the world of evolving 3D games and this is what made them different.
Anyway, enough of the history lesson. AS I said, ive just recently got back into RCT. Funilly enough, into the RCT I despise. RCT3. Now whilst I hate it, its the only version I still have and its ok but imo, very limited and very hard to make anything look good, the coasters are awful to create but I love the array of flat rides.
Now, my reason for posting, I just wanted to know what everyones doing in the RCT Community?
Is the majority playing RCT3 or is the comunity mostly full of die hard RCT1/2 fans still? I want to get back into RCT Parkmaking but I dont want to make parks for a dead format. I'de much prefer to use RCT2/RCTLL but if either of these formats are dead then I'll stick to what Ive started in RCT3.
Also, would just like to say a hello to anyone I used to talk to in the community! Its been a long time, so I doubt anyone will still be about but meh... -

Holy fuck.I thought you were gone forever.
So did I
I stopped making "megaparks" along time ago. My last was Lea Valley Park which was never really finished and was never really supposed to be a whole park anyway. It was more intended as a showcase of a few cool coasters and that would be it. I eventually just bodged the lot together and released it as a park and never really did anything else major. Just odd coasters in parks here and there and a number of single ride recreations for RCTInc. in RCT2.
Im so out of touch with the game its unbelievable. I dont even own it anymore. Ebay awaits -

Hello! Coby D here.
Been a long time for me too, and I'm sure only a handful of people will remember me. I constructed the SLC, Twisted Confusion, in your park, Grovelands Bay, and had a handful of parks of my own. I think the most 'popular' of which was a hidden park on Danimation. Dream World. Looking back it's not so great, but I like the coaster design for the most part. I prefer Lost Kingdom, Worlds of Adventure and Pinewood Amusement Park.
But yeah, I've just recently reinstalled RCTLL and RCT2, for some unknown reason, and decided to hunt down my old parks and Grovelands Bay (which I couldn't remember the name of, but I could remember the name Urban Shakedown, which brought me here).
So, hey, if you remember me, and hey if you don't! I'll be keeping an eye on your upcoming creation Magnus, maybe I'll even start one of my own again. If only I could find my old 'Project X' file. I remember having a nice Woodie semi constructed in there.Edited by Bojangle, 09 April 2009 - 04:45 PM.

Hi Bo. Did you previously have an account here that you can no longer log into? Maybe we could help get you back onto that account.
Anyways, welcome back to the game. -

Hey Butterfinger.
How goes it?
RCT2 is the main game. LL is holding on strong since it's basically freeware these days (you can download set ups for it, do some crap to make it no-cd and go to town).
The expansions for RCT2 never really caught on because they don't really fit with the game's overall ascetic; but custom scenery is the mainstream.
