Ask the Experts / Loading a NE park into RCT 2 with all expansions

Everytime i try to play a park from the Main Site the loading bar starts to flicker and stops moving and every time i try to load something else after that it starts to flicker and stop again. What is goin on and can anyone help me fix it?

That's just the game installing the new custom scenary.

You have to let it do it, and just wait for it to finish.

^About your first sentence, that is what trav says: in many new (downloaded) parks there are objects that are not yet in your own ObjData folder.
On opening such a park for the first time, the game will import the new objects into your ObjData folder, and after that it gives an error trapper.
Opening that same park for the second time makes it open fine.....

On your second sentence: if you mean loading/opening another newly downloaded park after the first one , the same applies as described above.

If you mean "opening another park that worked before", it seems strange and we would need more information to help you further.....

Yes i try to start the game after it flikers and wont let me start the game unless i uninstall then reinstall. My specs: P3 866mhz, 256mb ram, and a 128mbGeForce Fx 5200.

well than it will take A WHILE before the objects are installed espacially if you have the Expension packs installed.
it could take about 20 to 30 minutes if you have a lot of objects to instal

maxfreak, how many objects are in your:

C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2\ObjData\

...folder?

Just the ones that came with the game and quite a number of Amazing Earls rides.
