RCT Discussion / RCT2: TTP Not Running On Startup

Hi, I installed Roller Coaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack yesterday

Everytime the AutoRun starts, it says " Insert RCT2 into Drive :I " so I take out the CD and put it in " Drive :I ". The game launches to the menu screen and when I click start game, I will get a prompt that says " Error Launching Game ".

How do I fix this Nightmare, PLEASE help and let me enjoy RCT like I did years ago at my relatives house. I have two DVD Drives.

did you get the entire game installed?

once you have time twister and wacky worlds installed,
you have to use the original disc.

Honestly, I wouldn't even install tt and ww, they're a waste of space.

Try uninstalling everything, and just installing rct2 withough the expansion packs.

The Triple Thrill Pack all came on one Disc. RCT2 and both expansions are on 1 disc though. I was able to get it launched last night for some reason, and it said +Wackworlds, +Twister, so their all istalled.

When it says " Insert RCT2 disc into Drive : I " I change the Drive path to the one its in, which is " Drive : D " Then it does work finally.


Forgot how to reach the drive management box and manually change my Drive Letter Paths ( : D, : I ), I've done it before, but forgot how to reach it again. Would you happen to know?

If I'm not mistaken, you need to use the SAME drive you installed the game from. If you try to use the other drive, it may not find it.

Thanks, that would be the reason then. Did a Reinstall into my Second Drive instead of First. Using First one for Oblivion. I guess RCT2 is the only game that causes that to happen. I can put Oblivion in both drives with no problem, or any other game.
