OLE's writeup
The last of the non forfeit matches ended up being quite close as it was against two fairly even mid-range parkmakers. Disneylhand has been around a while and has been releasing several things outside NE lately. He has a nice semi-realistic style but isn't afraid to tackle different theme ideas. His micro Stratosphere Atlantic City represents one of those theme ideas and was a pretty accurate recreation of the tower in Las Vegas. The top section is very cool with lots of detail on the structure as well as a couple flats on the roof. Elevators are cleverly hacked inside the tower and stop at different levels, including the roof. The major drawback is that the rest of the structure was just a white base that the elevators go though without any details. His opponent, Lloyd is an up and coming player that hasn't quite developed his own style yet. His entry Oasis shows lots of promise though with decent landscaping and foliage to create a nice setting. There's a cool hacked coaster that takes up half the map and a couple nicely detailed buildings. It's not a great entry but it gets the job done and the lack of details on Stratosphere hurt it just enough for Lloyd to snag the votes he needed. The match required all 5 judges to vote and the tie breaker went with Lloyd who moves on to Round 2.
