Micro Madness / Micro Madness is Underway!

I just want to let you guys know in advance the results will be coming in slowly. There are a good number of close match-ups and that will add to the waiting, due it being Christmas day that makes it longer to. We may need all 7 of the judges to decide a few of these great match-ups...

Should be worth the wait, these park are really good

Xcoaster (However he just re-started his entry and says it will be done in a day or two.)

Anyone want to cut these guys some Christmas slack and give them till Friday or something? I would be ok with that.

And I have another match to release this mourning, then no telling on the rest as one match is 2-2 the other is 3-2 and one should end soon that is 2-0. Gona go post Loopy vs. Liampie for judging now and then release match-up #9

That's why I try and keep my disk in the disk drive at all times. Then it's less likely to get lost.

Anyways, my entry is close to completion. I'll probably have it in by tomorrow night. And as I told Kumba, this time it's more up to my standards. I was originally working on a Rime of the Ancient Mariner theme, since that's one I've wanted to do in the past, but it didn't go very well. Then I tried a Dune theme, but a park themed to a barren desert planet doesn't look that interesting (no big surprise there). I might work on that one more later though. So yesterday I restarted with an original idea of mine and it's going much better.

lol after all that drama both RCFan and woofenskid don't get an entry in...

I say give them until the end of the week due to the time of the deadline... I mean, if I hadn't had a micro already started from way before, I probably wouldn't even have gotten an entry in myself

3 Match-ups on the way... one is a bit of a surprise, then we still have another thats still sitting on 2-2 tie score... Also in a few hours the news post I made last night will be updated with a new release/late NE Christmas present

Interesting idea: set up each results topic as a poll, so you can see if the public agrees with the judges' decisions. It would just be for shits and giggles, but it would be interesting to see.

You wouldnt be making new topics, you'd be editing old ones, and it wouldn't take that long. Hell, I could do it at work.

Now, if anyone wants to do this, that sounds great.

Just make sure, I would think, to have 2 separate catagories for voting: one for the people that just "judge" both parks from the screens (or at least from one of it, as they cannot see RCT1 in-game!),

and another one for the people that can see, as well as took the "trouble", to view both parks of a matchup in-game.....for imho that makes a huge difference in many cases!!

To be honest......people that just and only judge on screens (cannot be avoided anymore once the screens are posted), I cannot take too seriously.....so that hugely distracts from the value of what people vote for.....

Im not saying it's a bad idea, im just not up to all the work. As it is now with posting everything and doing site updates I would say round two plus the new blockbuster and design took me a total of some 7 or 8 hours to post. Thing is I make parks too, and that takes as much time, so I am sorry, but I can't really add much more right now.

If someone (maybe ride_exchanger?) wants to do it I will give them the power to edit those posts. I need to do that anyways so OLE can add his reviews to them.

Also their are still 4 matches missing and all the results from them will be up no later then Saturday.

Don't get me wrong.....I was not at all suggesting that you would do this, Darren....with the workload you do have already.....

on the contrary.....I was just replying to the ones that suggested this (MA) and/or the ones that say this is just so little work (R_E) to inspire them to set this up if they want to see that. (so go ahead, you 2!)
