My friend showed my an interview where Thom claimed that the version he had of Videotape was, quote, "balls to the walls".
Then something was mentioned where Jonny and Nigel did something. I don't know really. But I believe it. I'll see if I can find the link.
Hail to the Thief is not that great. I would rather listen to the Bends than Hail to the Thief.

penguinBOB is a man of taste.
Also, from what you just said, it sounds like Greenwood and Godrich fixed Videotape. -

I was going to add "This is a period" as well. I figured that would be too much. Maybe next time. Also Steve please don't imitate my perioding.
It's really opinion anyway. I think all HTTT has going for it would be
2+2=5
We Suck Young Blood
There There
Wolf at the Door
I'd much rather listen High and Dry, FPT, Nice Dream, Just, My Iron Lung, and Street Spirit.
Also Street Spirit might be better than the entire HTTT album. In my opinion, I mean.
Whatever. You guys can go to hell. -

It's pretty much universally agreed that WSYB is the weakest track on HTTT, keep up dude. Where I End and You Begin, and A Punchup at a Wedding are both fantastic as well...
Though I can probably agree that the Bends is a superior album to HTTT overall. It has a more unified atmosphere and none of the songs on it are as weak or underdeveloped as those on HTTT (Go to Sleep could've been godly, The Gloaming live = fantasic, studio = shit).
Still whomever fucked up Videotape did indeed fuck it up. I've come to accept the new version but I still like the old version better dammit!
In Rainbows is the weakest of Radiohead's trio of near perfect records (IR, OK Computer, Kid A)... I honestly can't think of another band with 3 albums of that calibur and three more on par with The Bends, HTTT, and Amnesiac. There are plenty of albums better than Pablo Honey, but well... Everyone has to start somewhere.

Wilco?
The BEATLES?! -

I can think of far too many to mention here.
Not that anyone here is even worthy to hear of them. -

The Bends is a terrible album with no good songs.
Not a single one.
Best track is Street Spirit.
Cuz it's bland instead of shit. -

The BEATLES?!
Jay-Z, eh... maybe...
Wilco I'd need to hear more of. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is definitely in the elite league and the only other album I have is Summerteeth and while it's solid it's not on that level...
The Beatles... Okay you got me there. From Rubber Soul forward they're pretty much perfect.
I suppose Led Zeppelin would be in that book to (for me anyway) with Zepplin I through III and Houses of Holy probably right up top... Zeppelin IV is overrated imo (except When the Levy Breaks, that song PWNs), but still every bit as good as The Bends...
Pink Floyd comes close as well (Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, Meddle, The Wall, The Division Bell)...
I think My Morning Jacket will be similarly amazing as their career plays itself out more... And Modest Mouse has three near flawless records in my book (Lonesome Crowded West, Moon and Antarctica, Good News...).
But anyway, Radiohead is probably still my favorite band, and if not they're certainly my favorite active band...

Just got the diskbox.
I really like Go Slowly so far, but other than that, I'm slightly disappointed. But I'll wait because In Rainbows was slightly disappointing to me on the first few listens but has grown a lot on me. Oh yes, Up On The Ladder is pretty good, too. -

The bonus disk rox my sox. Down is the New Up, Four Minute Warning, and Bangers N' Mash have been running in my head for days and the chorus of Last Flowers is beautiful.
Anyway... On with our lives...
