Ask the Experts / How do you merge coasters in RCT2

i tried to merge coasters using 8cars and son of beast but i get an error message

than you did it wrong because it is possible.
explain what you did (or/and place a screenshot of how it looked) and tell me please which error (acces violation, location unknown, unknown driver etc.) you get and when .

i got all sorts of different kinds of messages
i would post a screenshot but i dont know how(where are they saved?)

I tried but the size was to big how do you fix that?

Is there a great tutarial about ride merging any of you know of?

i just tried it again and it said something like acess violated

What two tracks are you trying to merge?

Are the facing the right way?

Acces violation (intreger divided by zero) often happens if you put the operating mode to boat hire but the merge wasn't done well , if the car comes at the merge point it should crash but because a boat hire can't crash it gives a error.
I know good tuts but they are in dutch ... maybe someone else can point you to an english tut.

I tried it but whenever I get about halfway done 8 ca says it encounters a problem EVERY TIME what am i doing wrong

What 8cars are you using? It's known that 1.31 gives an error when trying to lower/higher a track. Maybe you should try version 1.302:

you mean 1.32 gives the error

I have 1.32 but i downloaded the other type but it says the other version is an unknown file type

it's compresed using winrar (.rar file)
download winrar (just google it and you find it).

Is there a free download because im not willing to spend 12 or 13 dollars to be able to use a certain program

winrar is free (there's a free download and a pay download) almost everyone (I know) use it.
