I think it's simply not possible to provide the same functionality in a trainer. They edited the game's dat-files to remove the ride bases/entrances/etc., so you can't really have both rides with and rides without a base. -

@ Posix, that is not possible, this is because the images needed for the ride bases are stored into the G1.dat, the big file that contains staff members, ride track etc. We changed those images by putting blank space in there, therefore you won't see it ingame. This is also the reason why RCTModified stores the saves in a different file saving system, the so called SV7's. So, if you want the bases removed, you either need manually swapping of the G1.dat file, which JJ did in the past, and what was RCTMofidified 1.0, 1.1, 1.2. After that Levis found out how to change the saving of the files and that was introduced in 1.3, together with the different menu look. Which again is an edit to the old G1.dat.
Another thing we were trying to create and was scheduled to release around christmas 2008, was to have snow flakes falling instead of rain. Which was quite hard to do, because the rain was little 1x1 pixels, that needed to be extended, and therefore was a lot of hex edit necessary.
We also had a different park back then which you see when you start the game. Currently that's Six Flags Magic Mountain, we were able to make our own park, save that with a specific name, that had the same size as the Magic Mountain map and because of that we could create a different park behind the 'Start a new game', 'Save game', 'Tutorial Mode' & 'Scenerio Editor'.
All these things plus some add-ons we were working on, were lost due to the Egyptian hack on RCTAvenged, somewhere in 2009/2010. This is also the moment that we stopped working on RCTModified. And we simply don't have the time to start up again. Most work needs to be done by Leo because he is simply the most skilled hacker/technician the RCT scene have ever seen. And he is very busy with University, so with that all hopes on a new RCTModified are gone as well.
I personally have no problem with RCTModified being distributed, but the real problem relies with the feedback from users and those who run into trouble. We don't have the time to answer the questions anymore. Back in the day I played everyday for several hours, now I can be lucky if I hit 10 hours a month, and spending much time of that on answerring questions about old software, really takes away the fun of building, that is what has lead to this decision.
Hope the whole situation is clear now and this topic can be locked, and we can leave 2008 behind us.
