The project was up for awhile at RCTspace, but it died and never got anywhere. So I'm taking the project here, if its ok. D: This is also a mostly copy/paste from the original topic.
This here is the map of the Disney park. This map was made by Foolishmortal83, who is also competing in the Disney Imagi-Nations competiton, or so I remember him telling me.
I went and asked him about recreating this in RCT2, and he agreed as long as I show him stuff. He also said I can make any necessary changes or add more things. Things I hope to do are add and replace rides such as the Rocket Rods ride with a PeopleMover, and bring back some of the abandoned rides, like the UFO bumper cars. An already existing ride in the park stands in the island of the River of America; the Thunder Mesa Expedition, which is based off the Mine Train Thru Natures Wonderland ride. Other rides you can see are Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Its a Small World, Jungle Cruise, Casey Jr. Circus Train, and a newer Disney ride, the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and more. None of these decisions are final.
Now what can I do? Well sadly not much. I'm much better at ride designing and landscape than I am architecture and stuff. So thats my main reason for making this a duo or group project. More preferably a duo possibly.

I'll help you. Question. Why does space mountain need to be a wild mouse. I have made amazing space mountains with corckscrew roller coasters. -

Well the WDW version appears to be a Wild Mouse, but with two vehicles on the train. Space Mountains to be like most of the Space Mountains. (NOT Space Mountain: From the Earth to the Moon/Mission 2)I'll help you. Question. Why does space mountain need to be a wild mouse. Also news: The park is to be completly redone. As I too, plan to enter the Imagi-Nations contest, and I'd like to design early concepts of my dream Disney Park, as a fresh original creation. Being like the first four Disney Parks. (But park layout is a bit more similar to Tokyo Disney, EuroDisney, and Disneyland CA) -

I will destroy him! This here is the map of the Disney park. This map was made by Foolishmortal83, who is also competing in the Disney Imagi-Nations competiton, or so I remember him telling me.
From what I understand of WDW's, it's basically just the Matterhorn times 2, and indoors. So that would probably be more like the mini coaster with rocket cars. The Matterhorn does have some similarities to a wild mouse, but that's definitely not the route I would take in making it.Well the WDW version appears to be a Wild Mouse, but with two vehicles on the train. Space Mountains to be like most of the Space Mountains. (NOT Space Mountain: From the Earth to the Moon/Mission 2)
Also, the most common Space Mountain is actually the single track style done in California, Japan, and Hong Kong. I hear it's better too.
I will destroy you as well!!!As I too, plan to enter the Imagi-Nations contest,
...just kidding... my entry probably won't be that great... and that guy's map making skills are pretty good... -

Actually, Walt Disney Worlds Space Mountain tracks type are only based off the ones on the Matterhorn Bobsleds, while the layout is also a "dueling" coaster, but not side by side like the Matterhorns tracks are. And Space Mountain has its own original layout which is two different coasters actually; the Alpha track and the Omega track. The Space Mountain trains/vehicles were the inspirance of what the Matterhorn Bobsleds trains/vehicles are now; longer bobsleds with new looks, and two bobsleds instead of one. -

Yeah, but its pending. I might prefer to use the normal rockets. They resemble the ones in WDW decently, but not perfectly.you know you could just use amazing earls space mountain coaster.

Not really based on MTTNW, just shared similar looking ride vehicles. I've never read anywhere where Marc Davis stated that Thunder Mesa was inspired by the MTTNW.An already existing ride in the park stands in the island of the River of America; the Thunder Mesa Expedition, which is based off the Mine Train Thru Natures Wonderland ride.
Also, WDW's Space Mountain has, as far as I know, never been confirmed to be an exact duplicate of the Matterhorn. It's mostly speculation from what I can tell. However on my first trip to Disneyland this past month (one month to the day I was inside Disneyland ), I rode the Matterhorn and after riding WDW's Space Mountain for years, I can attest to the fact that the way each ride starts and the lifts feel similar. The actual layout I can't say. I was having too much fun!
It also seems that this park is almost a resurrection of unused ideas and old rides and a mish mash of current parks. Not saying I'm against it, just an observation.Edited by Iceman, 22 August 2007 - 01:51 AM.

this is cool, I have always wanted to make disneyland for rct (mostly because I went there before I ever went to my home park, even though it was a 2 day drive ) and because I was 3 years old, I've been since thoughEdited by gibbsies, 22 August 2007 - 02:23 AM.

WDW's Space Mountain and Disneyland's Matterhorn do not have the same layout. Just to set the record straight.
