Recently played Half Life (the original), and that was a lot of fun, so planning on getting Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode One, and Valve's Orange Box (HL2: E2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal) once the Orange Box comes out.

$215 in physiotherapy bills! So much for universal health care in Canada. My insurance claims to cover 80% of the cost, but only to a maximum of $20 a visit. Well, when the going rate is $55 a visit, shouldn't they be covering $44 worth? Annoying! My employer will cover it though.

I also need to purchase a new computer for school. It is unfortunate as I love my Apple PowerBook, but I need to be able to run Windows for AutoCAD and related applications. I can't purchase one now because BootCamp is unsupported. OSX 10.5, Leopard, will come with BootCamp installed and supported. So, I must wait until October to purchase my computer and in the mean time have to hope that I don't need a computer for the first term of school. If not, Dell Inspiron here I come!

Over $5600 on a five-week trip to Spain. Needless to say, I am practically broke now. :( It was soooo worth it though. I got back from that two weeks ago, and I haven't touched my bank account since, for obvious reasons.

And on Monday, $380 (of the total ~$1600) to get all of my wisdom teeth pulled. I can't wait!

GO SEE MY MORNING JACKET. THIS IS NOT EVEN A CONTEST.

Agreed. And I haven't seen My Morning Jacket...yet

Oh yeah. I'm going to see Wilco when they come in a month. THat was like $50 for me and my gf, so that's kind a big purchase. Jelly spent $200 on them? They must be amazing live. This is getting me pumped.

Only bands I've seen that are better live are the aforementioned My Morning Jacket and Radiohead.

oh by the way, nice hh china pbob :)
  • penguinBOB%s's Photo
thx. i think i have the exact same pedal. make sure the mallet head things hit the drum straight on. mine hit at an angle and wore down funny, so i recently had to put the wooden beaters on. nice emad head btw. best bass drum head ever.
  • twister12%s's Photo
thank you for alerting me about the beater, that is whats so great about the pedal. it adjusts at the top to fit exactly flat to your head. also, the emad is the best head ever. i might try the 2-ply next, but that wont happen soon because this one is taking forever to wear down.

Exact same set up my drummer (paul) has. Just to warn you the 2nd one might start flopping back after a while... Or at least it does on his. Is there an adjustment or something to fix that? I'd really like to help him get it corrected so he can start playing hi-hats properly any time he's not doing double bass (aka 95% of the time).

make sure he's playing on carpet and also have the spikes for both of them all the way down. i've never had any problems with that.
