General Chat / A Topic About Harry Potter

I thought the NE staff was over the whole closing topics thing. :\ It really kind of detracts from meaningful discussions...

Bit of weird decision to close the topic, the least he could have done is rename is to 'The Harry Potter Topic' so we can talk about anything to do with the subject and not just the film

well what annoys me is that it wouldn't have been closed if it was someone else's topic - it was only that people had had the nerve to change the subject slightly in one his own sacred topics.

Apart from this I really don't mind riven3d though, believe it or not ;-)

Well I saw the movie last night....
It was approximately 1/6th of the book with changes and poor editing.

They got the major plot details in BUT failed to explain any of them at all (similar to the horrendous Prisoner of Azkhaban holes).
Overall, it was the weakest movie of the series as opposed to the book being one of the best of the literary series.

God only knows what they will do to HBP...

Can I ask what that reason was? Because I, and apparently many others, don't think it was a very good one.
