^I haven't heard/ haven't bothered to buy We Were Dead... yet.
I've been real lazy on that subject come to think of it. I haven't listened to any Modest Mouse in quite a while. It'd do me good to plug in Moon & Antarctica again for a while as it's one of my top five albums (up there with OK Computer, Kid A, The Soft Bulletin, and Funeral, not sure about order...)
Anyway I'll have to get back to you on that one. There's a good chance that I'll see MM as a result of the group I'm in; I know for a fact one of them is MM fanatic. On the upside MMJ comes around to the festivals more often so I'll probably be able to catch them next year either at Lollapalooza or Bonnaroo (god I hope Radiohead headlines again. ).
Basically on my list of "bands to see" right now are Arcade Fire, Radiohead, My Morning Jacket, and Pearl Jam. Two of those could be "checked" in the next few days. Not to say that I won't be seeing them again. Arcade Fire and Radiohead are a bit more difficult for me since they never come around close enough to where I live for me to easily get away... Well, I'll be moved out soon enough; then I'll just buy tickets, rent a car (can't have one freshman year @ Michigan), and go.

At first I liked We Were Dead..., although some of the tracks (Florida, Education, Fire It Up) really suck bad. But now I never listen to it. Like, any of the songs. Less replay than Good News, it seems. Modest Mouse is dead to me. -

Dude! "Florida" is probably one of my favorites. With James Mercer throwing in backing vocals, it's fantastic. -

I am going to add that one of the openers I saw for Modest Mouse was fucking incredible. I think they were called Man Man or something like that??? If they are playing before Modest Mouse, (I am not sure at all, nor do I really feel like looking up all about Lolla) this changes things. Man Man were better than Modest Mouse. The opening act put on a better show...They reminded me of a mix between Oingo Boingo and Tom Waits, and to be perfectly honest, they are right up there with Radiohead/Arcade Fire for my favorite live bands. I wish I could have seen a whole show by them.
Man Man is to pirates as Anathallo is to christians. -

Sorry, I just liked Modest Mouse when they had some semblance of edge. Shiny pop songs ProToolsed to all hell are a waste of their talents.Dude! "Florida" is probably one of my favorites. With James Mercer throwing in backing vocals, it's fantastic.
James Mercer's voice is kind of annoying. -

9/10 good song. would have been better if they had a bit more stage presence and if he started the song off correctly. sweet rickenbacker.

Not my favourite Bloc Party song.
Quality video though. Makes me want a digital camera of me own.

I love Akron/Family; great intro to the song on the video. Is the bassist using a cell phone to play bass? I've been hearing them a lot on Sirius lately, but haven't gotten any of their music yet. However, I plan on getting some very soon. Should I get "Love Is Simple"?

This is a local band. I think they're pretty good considering the majority of local music sucks. -

Not bad, not great - not very original, but nice enough.
You should get the self-titled debut first - it's a masterpiece. Love is Simple is good, but the latter half drags it down. Not as big a letdown as most fans pretend it is tho.

(sound errors aren't because of the performance - something went wrong with the taping/encoding/uploading) -

Terrible with a capital "J". Like seriously, they sound like countless other bands out there. And there using a fucking garageband beat on stage and its off-tempo! So many unessecary breakdowns only fueled by the offbeat garageband beat, too. Even though the band is listed an "electronic metal" band on Wikipedia, putting a garageband added drumbeat over your music doesn't make you electronic.
I actually saw this being played on Italian MTV:

Apparently their MTV actually plays music, and good music at that.Edited by DragonInferno, 24 October 2007 - 03:59 PM.

It was good. Might put it on my pod, 7/10.
My favorite song in the world.
Sadly, I do like the radio version better. -
